Star Wars Announces Bring Home the Bounty Event for New Product Reveals – Any LEGO?

Earlier today, Star Wars announced a new event called Bring Home the Bounty which are weekly reveals of new Star Wars products until the end of the year. For the next 12 weeks every Tuesday, there will be new Star Wars product reveals from The Book of Boba Fett, The Mandalorian, Skywalker saga, The Bad Batch, and Star Wars: Visions.

We’ve already talked about some of the 2022 LEGO Star Wars sets and there could be reveals of some of the sets. There’s also a rumored UCS AT-AT (75313) that has been going around online that could be announced during this event as well. Stay tuned for any new LEGO Star Wars reveals that could possibly be shown off during Bring Home the Bounty.

LEGO to Remove Gender Bias and Harmful Stereotypes from Products and Marketing

Yesterday was the United Nations International Day of the Girl and LEGO has announced that they are committed to making LEGO play more inclusive and ensuring that children’s creative ambitions are not limited by gender stereotypes. This also marks the launch of a new LEGO campaign called Ready for Girls which celebrates girls who rebuild the world through creative problem solving. There have been articles put yesterday that are misconstruing what the campaign is about and say that this is the end of the LEGO Friends line. LEGO has released a statement about that on the Ambassador Network.

LEGO Friends isn’t going anywhere. Next year’s LEGO Friends portfolio will have the most male figures we have had in our assortment to date. As well as gender, we are also increasing the variety in our LEGO Friends characters with more older and younger characters (including the microdoll).

We are also looking into representation for our Minifigures. Currently we have a larger proportion of male minifigures across the portfolio, but we remain committed to increase the number of female characters as we’re fully aware of how important it is to ensure children are able to reflect themselves in the toys they play with.

The LEGO Friends line celebrates their 10th year anniversary next year which is one of the few original IPs in LEGO’s evergreen portfolio. I’m sure LEGO will be doing something to celebrate that while keeping with their promise of making LEGO play more inclusive.

Girls are ready to overcome gender norms but society continues to

Global Supply Chain Disruption May Impact Holiday Shopping

If you’re planning on waiting to do holiday shopping this year, you may want to get your shopping in early. There is currently a global supply chain disruption and experts say there might not be much on store shelves this holiday season. The LEGO Shop doesn’t seem to have much inventory issues except for a few sets that went on backorder but orders usually ship in a week or so.

Retail store shelves may have problems as some of the larger chains don’t seem to have much stocked. Here in San Diego, there are a few Walmart and Target stores around here that are out of certain sets which can be rectified on the LEGO Shop but you don’t get the instant gratification of getting the items in-hand.

Now would be the perfect time to get your shopping done on the LEGO Shop since they have a double VIP points promotion until the end of October 17. Double points also work on pre-orders so it would work on the newly revealed The Batman sets.

LEGO Marvel Mech Sets Rumored for 2022

It has been rumored that there will be some new LEGO Marvel mech sets that will be coming in January 2022. It is said that these sets will be comic book based and they include:

Wolverine Mech (76202) – $9.99
Iron Man Mech (76203) – $9.99
Black Panther Mech (76204) – $9.99

If these rumors are true, it marks the return of a fan favorite character in Wolverine. There have been three Wolverine minifigures in the past with the last one being four years ago from the Mighty Micros sets. If you remember from a few months back, I reported that the packaging for the LEGO Marvel Studios Collectible Minifigures (71031) may have put a teaser for Wolverine’s return and it looks like it may be confirmed.
