LEGO Mario Kart Luigi Set Teaser

LEGO has released a short video on social media teasing a LEGO Mario Kart Luigi set. After the release of the Mario Kart – Mario & Standard Kart (72037) last year, we were wondering if LEGO would make Luigi and it looks like he’s coming soon.

In the teaser, Luigi is seen pulling up next to Mario in his Mach 8 Kart. You can clearly see part of the blue and yellow kart with the red rims. Hopefully the set can recreate the famous Luigi death start meme. Last year, the Mario & Standard Kart was announced on MAR10 Day so we can guess that LEGO will be revealing the set that day too.

LEGO Ideas Design a Vendor Cart Winning GWP Announced

LEGO has announced the winner of the LEGO Ideas Design a Vendor Cart building contest for a future gift with purchase set. There were 779 builds that were entered and the winner is Urban Face Sketcher by ArchGian7. There were also 14 runner up builds as well. The winning build will now go into production and will be released some time in the future, possibly at the end of this year/early next year.

LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise (72153) Pre-Orders Back Up

Just like clockwork, LEGO has restocked the LEGO Pokemon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise (72153) and put it back up for pre-order on the LEGO Shop. The unfortunate thing is that the promotion for the Kanto Region Badge Collection (40892) is now over so you won’t be getting it if you pre-order now. I would highly suggest that you wait until February 27 to place your orders as LEGO will be running the promotion again at that time.

One thing to note about LEGO is that they regularly restock their products. For those who are new, don’t go paying scalper prices for something that will regularly restock for at least 1-2 years. When the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise went out of stock the other day, a lot of orders went straight to the secondary market and 2-3 times the retail price. I’m all about the free market but do know that stuff does come back even if the initial batch of inventory runs out. There’s no need to FOMO.

LEGO Spring Festival Lion Dance (40915) GWP Revealed

LEGO is not done with the Chinese/Lunar New Year gift with purchase sets as they have revealed another one with the Lion Dance (40915). The set has 480 pieces and it features two lions as well as four performer minifigures. There’s so word yet on when or the price requirement to get it but it should be pretty soon.

Let kids celebrate an important ritual with the LEGO® Lion Dance (40915) set for boys and girls ages 10 and up. This building set features 1 red lion dance costume, 1 yellow lion dance costume and 4 minifigures, so kids can role-play the dance before displaying the set proudly as a Spring Festival decoration. According to tradition, the lion dance is thought to bring good fortune, so this set is a great good luck gift for kids and anyone who enjoys the Spring Festival. Set contains 480 pieces.
