LEGO’s Facebook page has release three more action shots from the 2014 LEGO The Hobbit sets. The excellent photography shots are of the Dol Guldur Battle (79014) set that will be released at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home on December 1st. If you can’t wait a few weeks, the sets are now available early at Toys R Us.

There is a new official image of the LEGO The Hobbit Dol Guldur Battle (79014) set from the upcoming 2014 wave. It shows a couple of sections of Dol Guldur as well as all the minifigures included in the set: Azog, Gandalf the Grey, Radagast, 2 Gundabad Orcs, and the Necromancer of Dol Guldur. German eBay seller Wörld-toys has posted a couple of auctions that have ended for some LEGO The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug 2014 sets but this is the first time we have images of the sets that we haven’t seen before for the Dol Guldur Ambush (79011), Mirkwood Elf Army (79012), and Dol Guldur Battle (79014). Although they aren’t the best quality, you can see a little bit of what’s going on.

Update: Official images are now available.

We can now verify that the Dol Guldur Ambush (79011) has Beorn, Gundabad Orcs x2.

The Mirkwood Elf Army (79011) has Gundabad Orcs x2, Mirkwood Elf Archers x2, a Mirkwood Elf, and Thranduil.

The Dol Guldur Battle (79014) has Gundabad Orcs x2, the Necromance of Dol Guldur, Azog, Radagast, and Gandalf the Grey.

Also set 79011 is able to combine with 79014 to create a larger playset.

Legoman123 over at Eurobricks has revealed which minifigures will be in what sets for the 2014 LEGO The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug release. As we have reported before, there will be four sets in the wave but this is pretty much confirmation of the minifigures that will be included.

Dol Guldur Ambush (79011) – Includes Beorn who wields an axe, two Gundabad Orcs with hair, one of which wears a shoulder armor. – ~$26.99

Mirkwood Elf Army (79012) – Includes Thranduil wearing armor and crown, two Elves wearing hoods and dark green and brown armor. There is another Elf with hair. There are also two dark tan Orcs and a Warg. – ~$39.99

Lake Town Chase (79013) – Seen before but there is are images of the set including the box as well as the minifigures included: Bard, Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, Laketown Guard, Master of Lake-town (see below) – ~$56.99

Dol Guldur Battle (79014) – Includes Gandalf, Radagast, The Necromancer, and a tan Azog similar to the one given out at SDCC 2013, and two Gundabad Orcs with no hair this time but with white war paint. ~$79.99

As we all know by now, there will be a second wave of the LEGO The Hobbit sets based on the second part of the three-part film series, The Desolation of Smaug. There are four sets to this wave, one of which was revealed during Day 3 of the 2013 San Diego Comic Con. Over on Eurobricks, some of the details for the sets have emerged. The details aren’t much but at least we know a little bit more about the sets. He also notes that the sets will be in stores this December.

Dol Guldur Ambush (79011) – There are three minifigures in the set: two orcs and some sort of soldier. There is also a grey rock. – ~$26.99

Mirkwood Elf Army (79012) – 442 pieces, six minifigures: two orcs, 3 elves, and an elvish king (possibly Thranduil). Set includes a wall and a tree in tan, dark tan, and brown. – ~$39.99

Lake Town Chase (79013) – Seen before but there is are images of the set including the box as well as the minifigures included: Bard, Bilbo Baggins, Thorin Oakenshield, Laketown Guard, Master of Lake-town (see below) – ~$56.99

Dol Guldur Battle (79014) – Six minifigures: Gandalf in grey outfit, probably Radagast, Nazgul-like character (Necromancer?), normal orc, “white” orc similar to Yazneg (Azog?), warrior with big red beard (Beorn?). The set looks similar to the Battle at the Black Gate (79007) but in grey bricks. – ~$79.99

LEGO The Hobbit 2013 Set Names Revealed

The Hobbit - Lake Town Chase

Brickset forum member, dashofdashing has provided a list of the LEGO The Hobbit 2013 sets that will be released later this year based on a “reliable source”. Of course, we already knew about the Lake Town Chase (79013) when it was announced at the 2013 San Diego Comic Con and was available for showing to the public during the third day. These sets are based on the second film in the three part Hobbit film adaptation, The Desolation of Smaug. There’s no additional details as of this time but we’re sure that more information will be revealed as we get closer to the release date.
