LEGO Ranked Number 2 on 2018 Global CSR RepTrak 100

LEGO has been announced as the second-most highly regarded company in the world on the 2018 RepTrak 100 survey. The Reputation Institute has annually done the survey in which LEGO ranked first last year but dropped just one spot this year which shows you how much the public still likes the company in terms of emotional appeal. This year also marks the eighth year in a row that LEGO has been in the top 10 on the survey. Check out the press release below.

BILLUND – March 15, 2018: Today, Reputation Institute released the annual RepTrak®100 survey. The LEGO Group maintains its rank from last year as the second-most highly regarded company in the world when it comes to corporate reputation.

Chief Executive Officer of the LEGO Group, Niels B. Christiansen, commented on the results:

“We are very happy and humbled to maintain such high regard by the public. It reflects the unique LEGO® idea and values, and the dedication our employees show every day to bring LEGO play to children all over the world. It is truly an honour to be embraced by the level of affinity that LEGO fans of all ages show us.”

“Since the LEGO brick was patented 60 years ago, we have been committed to inspiring and developing the builders of tomorrow. Our ambition to reach more children with LEGO experiences is more important than ever, and our purpose is what drives us and keeps us on our toes. What is truly important about this ranking is what lies behind it;

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105) Designer Video

LEGO has just released the designer video for the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition (76105) which comes a few weeks after the set became available. I still don’t understand why LEGO is releasing the videos after the set are already available and not the day of or before. The video features LEGO designers Justin Ramsden and Adam Corbally who talk about some of the features of the set.

The Hulkbuster is available again on Shop@Home after being on backstock for a few days after its release a few weeks ago. Now is a good time to pick it up if you’ve been waiting on it because of the double VIP points promotion that’s currently going on.

Build Your Own LEGO Wooden Duck with JK Brickworks

Some of the younger generation don’t know that LEGO started out as a wooden toy company before they transitioned into the LEGO bricks we know today. To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the LEGO brick, JK Brickworks has built his own version of the classic wooden duck using modern bricks and he has also provided the building instructions including the parts list consisting of a moderate 377 pieces. If you watch the video below, you can see the duck in motion with the opening and closing mouth feature. Of course, you can also change the colors to your liking.

Avengers: Infinity War Final Trailer Released

Marvel has released the highly anticipated final trailer for Avengers: Infinity War and it looks very epic. We can see some new scenes that we haven’t seen before and we can somewhat correspond them to some of the LEGO sets that have been released already.

Note that Hawkeye still hasn’t made an appearance in the trailers or promotional products so I assume he’ll be used similar to how Spider-Man was used in Captain America: Civil War.

The movie will premiere in theaters on April 27 but you can now pick up the sets on Shop@Home and on Amazon

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet Review

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet

Back in January, LEGO released an exclusive vintage LEGO Classic Bricks on a Roll (10715) and if you redeemed it via your receipt, you’re supposed to get the 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet. It looks like they have started to finally ship out and I’ve just received mine after I submitted my receipt at the end of January.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet

The 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet comes in a standard white mailer and when you take it out, there’s also black envelope with the 60 Years logo wrapped around it. The cover of the booklet is again embossed with the logo and as you can see, they are numbered on the bottom left. My copy is a very low 482/15,000.

LEGO Classic 60th Anniversary Collectible Booklet

Inside you get a history lesson of LEGO and the LEGO brick that is divided in to decades from the 1950’s to the 2010’s. Within each decade, there are some fun facts that you may not have known about unless you’re caught up with every bit of LEGO history. Did you know the first sets with building instruction manuals didn’t come out until 1964?

After that, there’s a nice looking periodic table of LEGO elements that is filled with a variety of parts. The legend at the boom also gives you some of the nomenclature for the LEGO elements.

At back of the booklet, there’s a list of Top 10 LEGO sets of all time as voted by the AFOL community. I’m not sure when or where the voting took place as I don’t remember doing a post about it … Continue
