The LEGO Movie Month at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home

LEGO Store February Promo

February is here and we are only 6 days away from the premiere of The LEGO Movie in theaters! LEGO Brand Stores and Shop@Home has some cool stuff to get you ready for the movie. As we reported last month, you can get a free exclusive Piece of Resistance Polybag (30280) for purchases of $50 or more, while supplies last. Also on Tuesday February 4th, the LEGO Stores will be holding the Monthly Mini Model Build and this month, it will be a Micro Manager (see below). This build will probably be a very hot event so head over to your stores early to get in line for a chance to build it.

The LEGO Movie Summer Sets Video by Atamaii.tv

Stu Carter on Atamaii.tv has gotten a closeup video footage of two of The LEGO Movie summer sets at the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair. The beginning of the video shows some details and features of the Super Secret Police Dropship (70815) including its dual cockpits, spring-loaded missiles, and a rope winch. Later on in the video, the presenter shows off Benny’s Spaceship, Spaceship, SPACESHIP! (70816) with it’s extendable wings and hidden cannons. I was already excited about the new summer sets but after seeing the video, I’m even more excited now!

LEGO Martian Manhunter Minifigure Revealed on March 2014 Calendar

Today is Chinese New Year but LEGO news never stops. It’s not even February yet but the March 2014 Calendar is already available and there is a shocking development for you LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes fans. Throughout March, for every purchase of $75 or more, you can get a free exclusive Martian Manhunter minifigure, while supplies last. For you Justice League fans, you’re now one step closer to collecting the team. Other things that are happening at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home are many new sets from various themes will be available for purchase including the DC Universe/Comics Batman: The Penguin Face Off (76010) and Batman: The Joker Steamroller (76013) sets. Also, with purchases of any LEGO Legends of Chima sets, you can get a free Ewar’s Acro-Fighter (30250) polybag. On March 1, there will be a new exclusive LEGO set available to purchase. Spoilers! LEGO Architecture Trevi Fountain (21020) Revealed At Nuremberg Toy Fair 2014

In the beginning of the month, we reported that the next LEGO Architecture set would be the Trevi Fountain (21020). Promo Bricks has attended the 2014 Nuremberg Toy Fair and has took pictures of the set. The Trevi Fountain is located in Rome, Italy and was designed by Nicola Salvi in the 1700s. One of the traditions is to throw coins using the right hand over the left shoulder. The new Architecture set is expected to be released this summer.

LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters Game Available on iOS

LEGO Star Wars Microfighters on iTunes

Today, Warner Bros. Entertainment has released a new shooting game on iTunes called LEGO Star Wars: Microfighters. You take control of the new Microfighters ships, which will be released here in the US very soon, and blast your way through 18 levels spread out on four planets: Endor, Yavin, Hoth, and Geonosis. You can choose between the six different types of ships including the TIE fighter, X-wing, Star Destroyer, Droid ATT, Millennium Falcon, and Clone Tank. It has a similar vertical scrolling look like older games such as the Raiden series. You can collect studs to spend on upgrades for your Microfighter. The app only costs $1.29 and is available for devices with iOS 6.0 or later such as iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Like many other LEGO related games, Android devices will have to wait a little longer for its release. Check out the official press release below as well as more screenshots of the game.

The LEGO Movie TV Spot Featuring Green Lantern

The LEGO Movie Green Lantern

A few more TV spots for The LEGO Movie have came out and one of them features the Green Lantern and his DC comrade, Superman. The actors of 21 Jump Street and the upcoming 22 Jump Street, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, team up again with the help of Emmet and the gang in The LEGO Movie to save Bricksburg from Lord Business. We get to hear Jonah Hill speak for the first time as the Green Lantern. He is supposed to help Superman who is stuck in a sticky substance but he also gets himself stuck. The other video parodies Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel and features Emmet as the Man of Plastic, the one who will save the world. Check out both videos below.
