The LEGO The Simpsons House (71006) Be Released Next Month?

There are some new developments of the LEGO The Simpsons House (71006). Skalldyr on Eurobricks was told that the release date would be January 17th for LEGO VIP Members. After some discussion in the forums, it may be a miscommunication but CM4S has linked to the February LEGO Calendar (see below) and it says on February 17th, VIP Members can preview and buy and new exclusive LEGO set. Could this mean The Simpsons House could be released as early as next month? As we reported last year, the house was tentatively set to be released in April. Could LEGO have shifted the release date of the set up a whole month early or could it be another exclusive set that will be released in February? BrickFair Alabama 2014 is happening this weekend so we could have some official at that time. We’ll have more details as they become available.

Update: The Simpsons House is officially revealed.

The LEGO Movie TV Spot #1

Today Warner Bros. Pictures released the first TV spot for The LEGO Movie. It shows some new scenes that we haven’t seen before and everything is awesome! The video also gives us a first glimpse of the Flash. There’s no word on who will be doing his voice or if he’ll even have any dialogs. We also get to see some new vehicles including Wyldstyle’s submarine and a white ship that looks very similar to Benny’s Spaceship but Emmet is piloting it with MetalBeard standing on top. Could we see these as sets in the future? We are now just a month away for the movie premiere. Who’s getting more and more excited for it? Me that’s who!

LEGO Blacktron II Grid Trekkor (6812) Review

In our final set of the old school LEGO Space sets, we have the Blacktron Future Generation aka Blacktron II Grid Trekkor (6812). It contains 23 pieces and was originally released in 1991.

Minifigure

There is one minifigure in this little set and it is the Blacktron II Astronaut. His torso is a plain white one with the iconic green/black/white Blacktron logo right in the middle. The arms and hands are black. The legs are also solid white. The astronaut has the simple yellow minifigure head. He wears a black helmet with a trans-neon green visor. Finally we also has a large jet pack attached to him.

Build

The Grid Trekkor is a very nicely built vehicle given the number of pieces that are available. It rolls on four rubber black wheels. The Trekkor has a trans-neon green radar attached to the front. The vehicle is operated by a control panel in the cockpit area. There is a trans-neon green antenna that is horizonal on the left side of the Trekkor.

Results

We have come to the end of the review of the Grid Trekkor (6812) as well as our 3-part miniseries of the older LEGO Space sets. The Trekkor and the minifigure are both awesome. The only downside is that I didn’t get more of these sets back when I was a kid. Too bad LEGO doesn’t make sets like these anymore.

There are some details of the new Summer 2014 LEGO Legends of Chima sets from Kiddiwinks. They have listed the system sets, the Speedorz, as well as some new Ultrabuilds. There are also some new characters introduced in the summer wave sets including new tribes such as the Vulture, Sabre-Tooth Tiger, Mammoth, and Phoenix.
