The LEGO Store Passport Review

The LEGO Store Passport

I’m back from the Monthly Mini Build at the LEGO Store today and as we reported earlier today, the employees were handing out a new item today. If you didn’t have a chance to see yet, it is The LEGO Store Passport that one of our readers emailed us images of.

I’ve got one in my hands and I must say it’s a pretty neat little collectible. The cover is made of a material that mimics what you get with a real passport and if you don’t look closely, you may mistake it for the real thing. It is embossed in gold printing with the words “Passport” on top and “The LEGO Store” on the bottom. The middle is a pretty large outline of a gold 2×4 brick.

Inside are twelve pages of the Passport and the first page is the identification page. There’s a minifigure head which represents whoever the passport is for. You can probably glue a real portrait picture to give it a more authentic look if you want. There’s also space for your name, date of issue, and a signature.

What’s This Mysterious LEGO Store Passport?

The LEGO Store Passport

It looks like something new is coming soon to LEGO Brand Stores. A reader by the name of Michael emailed me some images of a Passport that employees at the Frisco, TX store was handing out to kids. It looks like there are stamps that kids can get for attending the Monthly Mini Model Builds as well as LEGO Club Meetings. It looks like there’s also spots to get it stamped at different LEGO Store locations throughout the world. There’s no details of any incentives to having the Passport fully stamped but it’s something to try and achieve. Plus it adds more interaction between the stores and kids who participate. I’ll try to get more information about this LEGO Store Passport when I head out later today.
