LEGO Seasonal 2016 Snowglobe (40223) Now Available on [email protected]

LEGO Seasonal 2016 Christmas Ornament (40223)

If you missed out on the LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223) promotion from last year, LEGO is now selling it on [email protected] for $9.99 with a limit of five per customer. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing that LEGO is selling previous promotions as customers had to spend at least $99 to get it originally however this may start a trend of LEGO reselling their previous promo items at a later time for those who missed it. Let me know what you guys think about LEGO reselling the Snowglobe in the comments. Check out my review of the Snowglobe here.

LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223) Review

LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223)

We’re getting close to the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend and for the last couple of years, LEGO has been giving away some great holiday sets for their gift with purchase promo and it looks like 2016 continues the trend.

LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223)

For this year, LEGO will be giving away the Seasonal Snowglobe (40223) with purchases of $99 or more from November 25-28, while supplies last. VIP members already got early access to the set this past weekend. The Snowglobe consists of a 215 pieces which are in three un-numbered bags. If you check the parts inventory, there are a number of rare pieces in this set.

The build of the Snowglobe is in three parts, the base, globe area, and the pull-out drawer.

The base is 8×8 house-type setting with windows on the sides and a hole in the front for the drawer later on.

For the globe area, you have the Santa minifigure inside along with a Christmas tree. There are also fourteen 1×1 white round tiles to represent the snow.

Lastly, you have the drawer which is also the front of the house complete with the door and torches. You’ll notice that when building the drawer, there are some unsightly yellow bricks that do not match the overall color scheme of the Snowglobe itself.

Overall, the LEGO Seasonal Snowglobe (40223) is a very neat set. Although we’ve seen some good sets during the holidays in the past, this year’s set is probably one of the best produced so far. The “snow” pieces don’t actually float but … Continue

LEGO Seasonal Exclusive Limited Edition Snowglobe (40223) Coming in November

LEGO Seasonal 2016 Christmas Ornament (40223)

If you didn’t see our post of the November 2016 LEGO Store Calendar, there are some pretty cool promotional gift with purchases during the month including the exclusive limited edition Snowglobe (40223). The Snowglobe was actually revealed way back in January and even the instuctions were available for a short time before being taken down.

The Snowglobe (40223) has the same aesthetics as a normal snowglobe with Santa and a Christmas tree being the centerpiece. The bottom area is actually a storage area that you can pull out using white plates with handle to put your keepsakes in.

The Snowglobe will only be available during Brick/Black Friday/Cyber Monday, November 25-28 with purchases of $99 or more, while supplies last. I have a feeling that it won’t last all four days at LEGO Stores and on [email protected] so if you plan on making a purchase, do it early during the promotional timeframe. Also, this if for North America and I’m not sure when Europe will have their turn.
