LEGO Ideas One Year Deadline Approaching

LEGO Ideas

Last year, LEGO CUUSOO made the transition to LEGO Ideas and all the active projects that were grandfathered in had 365 days to get 10,000 supporters. If you want to show your support for these older projects, you essentially have one month or 31 days, to be exact, before they are archived by the system.

Below are the top projects that have over 8,000 supporters with a month left that could use your support if they don’t already for the final homestretch.

Update: GlenBricker is running a LEGO Ideas Deadline Bracket over on his website of projects that are in their final days.

There’s no word on the official date when the Exo Suit will be completely gone but it won’t be too long. Plus there’s still time to take advantage of the Double VIP Points event so get it while you can.

Brick Vehicles: Amazing Air, Land, and Sea Machines to Build from LEGO! Book Review

A few days ago, I received an advanced copy of Warren Elsmore’s latest book for review, Brick Vehicles: Amazing Air, Land, and Sea Machines to Build from LEGO®. We’ve previously reviewed Warren’s other books including Brick City, Brick Wonders, and Brick Flicks. His latest book contains 256 pages fill with more than 400 full-color images and it retails for $18.99 but you can find it a little cheaper on Amazon.

Similiar to his other books, the cover for Brick Vehicles is a mix of a hardcover and a softcover where it is sturdy but is bendable. The front shows some of the builds that are featured inside the book and the back gives an overall synopsis of Brick Vehicles.

Brick Vehicles: Amazing Air, Land, and Sea Machines to Build from LEGO!

The book is organized into five chapters, the Introduction, “On the Road,” “Off the Rails,” “Making Waves,” and “Taking Flight.” The introduction is your basic beginning of the book where Warren talks about what the book is about. You also get some LEGO fundamentals that’s similiar to the other books. One thing to point out in teh online resources section, it still lists LEGO CUUSOO as a resource but as we all know, it’s been changed to LEGO Ideas. It’s probably just a small oversight.

For the other chapters in the book, they are divided into whatever type of vehicles that are featured. The first chapter focuses on vehicles that are mostly seen on the roads. The second chapter shows vehicles that operate mainly on rails whether it be trains or even roller … Continue
