There are some new details regarding the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Rocket Raccoon polybag (5002145). Flickr user by the name of ryffranck029 went to his local Toys R Us and has managed to get a couple with his purchase. It was stated that the polybag is FREE with every purchase of $30 or more. It was also noted that the promotion would start on November 2nd and there were about 50 per store. This is for Canadian Toys R Us at the moment but hopefully the US would get the same promo as well. Stay tuned for more details if the Rocket Raccoon polybag (5002145) shows up here in the States.
Update: On a comment from Google+, the new TRU Canada flyer shows that the promo starts tomorrow. Also for us here in the US, Bryan in the comments note that Toys R Us stores will be carrying it in the near future.

I just chatted with a TRU representative online, and here’s what he told me:

Bryan: Hi there – I’m inquiring about a Lego promotional item that Toys R’ Us is rumored to be offering soon
Matt N: WHat item would that be! I will see if we here on chats have any info on it at this time!
Bryan: It’s a bagged Lego Rocket Raccoon set from the Guardians of the Galaxy movie. The Lego product number is 5002145.
Bryan: I have seen images of it online, and apparently it is available at a few Canadian locations. I wanted to know if it will be coming to the U.S., and when.

Matt N: At this time it does not look like the exact US release date has been announced. You may see some stores have it but those stores are breaking the rules and selling it early. Usually they are selling someone else’s pre-order in the store.

Bryan: But this is an item that will be offered in U.S. stores at some point?
Matt N: Yes we should be carrying it in the near future.
Bryan: Great! Do you know if it will be an incentive for purchases of a certain amount, or a pre-order bonus, or any more details?
Matt N: No not at this time the item has not been given a release date nor have any specials been made.

I got the same thing when I chatted with them. Nothing definite from the rep. Just look for a promotion in November.
