LEGO Final Fantasy VII Contest Winner Announced

Back in January, Square Enix announced a LEGO contest to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII to see which location you wanted to see as a LEGO set. The four choices included Aerith’s House, Honeybee Inn, Sector 5 Slums Church, and Water Tower Nibelheim.

LEGO Masters Season 4 Trailer – Winning Build Becomes Official Set

The LEGO Masters panel happened a few days ago and yesterday they dropped the official trailer for season 4. Will Arnett is back as host and Jamie Berard and Amy Corbett will again be the judges. In addition to winning $100,000 and the title of LEGO Masters, for the first time ever, the winning build will become an official LEGO set.

Hopefully, the set is a smaller rendition of the winning build because we all know that the final challenge is an over-the-top one and would probably be the most pricey set ever.

I will recap the LEGO Masters panel from San Diego Comic Con 2023 in the next few days after I recover a bit.

LEGO Looking for Brick Film Creators for 2024 Products

LEGO will be doing more brick films for 2024 products and they are looking for creators who are interested in doing some freelance work. The position is a paid one and you will need to create up to 5 videos around 2 minutes each. This most likely will allow you to get some sets early to create the content from them. If you are interested, you can sign up here. The deadline to enter is before July 30 since that is when LEGO will be sharing the list of potential picks with their partner.

The LEGO Group is currently seeking applications from brick film creators interested in a paid opportunity to create brick films for future LEGO sets. If you are a brick film creator with the equipment and skills to create fun and engaging content, please consider signing up on the link below. Each creator will be tasked with creating up to 5 videos (all around 2 minutes in length) and the work will be spread throughout the end of 2023 and into 2024. The selected persons will need to create and submit storyboards for approval and videos are likely to include a few rounds of review and approval.

As the project is confidential, the survey includes questions about your favorite theme and passion when building. This is to help identify relevant brick film creators.

All submitted information will be deleted on or before December 31st, 2023.
