If you haven’t been out that much recently, you’ll be glad to know that there are now more stores doing curbside pickup. The list of stores that are fully open has also been expanded as well. Hi AFOL Community,

Please see the updated list of store locations that are now providing curbside services and stores that are now open to instore traffic. Please check your local store page for current business hours or call the store before you visit. As you can imagine things are changing by the minute and this list could change. LEGO Technic Powered Up Components to be Sold Individually

LEGO has announced that you will be able to buy certain LEGO Powered Up components that were found in various Technic sets separately starting on June 1. This allows builders to further enhance their builds without having to invest in a whole set just to get the parts.

A message from Gaute Munch, Director Product Technology (Product owner of Powered UP)

For the past two years we have been in dialog with Ambassadors here on the LAN about Powered Up. The feedback that you have shared has been greatly appreciated. It has been insightful but also pleasure to work and brainstorm with different AFOLs around the world on Powered Up. If you are a member of a Recognized Community, thank you.

Today, we are excited to share the news below with you. We are even more excited to know what your plans are? Are there existing sets you are already excited to modify? Are these going straight into your MOCs? It is almost time for show-and-tell!

Great News on Powered Up Components!

Until now our LEGO® Technic™ Powered Up components have only been available to buy as part of the sets and we know that some of you have been interested in having the electronic components available to be sold separately.

Powered Up components are the hubs, motors, lights, sensors and control handsets that can help builders bring their LEGO models to life. The components can be used to add motorized movement and light features to models, and control them through the Powered UP App.

LEGO House to Reopen on June 22

Now that places are starting to open back up, LEGO has announced that the LEGO House will be reopening next month on June 22. There will be some changes that will take place when it reopens which you can read below. For those who are unable to attend, LEGO will be also continuing the LEGO House @ Home streaming activities.

LEGO House re-opens on June 22

We are so pleased to announce that LEGO® House is now opening again. From 22 June 2020, LEGO House will once again be buzzing with life and cheerful guests!

However, it is important to stress that the opening-up of LEGO House will be gradual and controlled and with a very limited number of guests every day to be able to keep the physical distance needed according to the health authorities.

To visit LEGO House all guests must book a ticket in advance at www.LEGOHouse.com – this also applies to annual pass holders.

New initiatives

LEGO House has made some important choices in terms of hygiene, so that guests can have a safe experience in LEGO House:

We know that hand hygiene is the most important factor in terms of mitigating the spread of infection. Therefore, we are doing all that we can to ensure the best possible conditions for optimum hand hygiene in LEGO® House with many hand sanitiser dispensers available in all the zones. Moreover, we are encouraging all guests to take care of themselves and to ensure they maintain good hand hygiene.

General cleaning at LEGO House has

LEGO Recognized AFOL Networking Events Update

Jan Beyer over on the LEGO Ambassador Network has released a statement regarding the AFOL Networking Events that are supposed to be going on around the world. Due to the Covid-19 situation, there have only two events (Bricks LA/Bricks Cascade) that happened because they were held before everything shut down. Jan has given his thoughts on the ANE for 2020 that have not been cancelled yet (BrickFair Virginia/Skærbæk Fan Weekend/BrickCon). He also talks about some ANE that have gone virtual but that is no replacement for physical events.

Dear all, I hope you are all safe and healthy and have time to spend on your LEGO hobby.

Today I like to give you an updated about the situation regarding AFOL Networking Events in the current Corona Virus pandemic.

Due the never seen before circumstances unfortunately only 2 ANE (Bricks LA and Bricks Cascade) in early 2020 could happen. Since mid March all ANEs are cancelled due to governmental or local restrictions for physical meetings and larger gatherings.

This is of course understandable but hits the organizers and participants as well as the AFOL Community quite heavy.

We do our best to be as supportive as we can be to the cancelled ANE but of course it is a very sad situation and we are right now all very uncertain how the future for large physical gatherings looks like.

There are still 3 ANE left for the remainder of 2020 (Brick Fair Virginia, Skærbæk Fan Weekend and BrickCon) which are not cancelled yet and we all cross
