Orders will be shipped from the end of October.

The 11th edition of the print publication all about LEGO leads with a special look at the latest Ultimate Collector Series release from the LEGO Star Wars team.

At £649.99 / $699.99, 75252 Imperial Star Destroyer is the joint-most expensive set ever released by the LEGO Group for UK collectors, and second most expensive for US collectors after the UCS Millennium Falcon. At that level, the 4,784-piece wonder is worth our special attention this issue.

Back in the real world, Brick Fanatics Magazine also takes a special look at 21318 Tree House, taking the largest Ideas set released to a unique tree house location in the New Forest. The UK national park is home to rare wildlife, protected woodland and a purpose-built education centre up in the trees, where we were lucky to spend a day with Countryside Education Trust’s Chief Executive, Jane Cooper, and play a bit of LEGO too.

Issue 11 of Brick Fanatics Magazine also includes a preview of Speed Champions’ first confirmed release of 2020, as we exclusively discuss with the theme’s design lead a … Continue

Toys R Us Partners with Target to Relaunch Website

Toys R Us has relaunched their website ahead of the holiday shopping season. They have teamed up with Target to feature product reviews and if you want to buy something, there is a purchase button to Target to complete your purchase.

If you remember, Toys R Us will be opening two stores in the US and it looks like the revamped website will also be doing their online sales through Target. This is an interesting strategy on TRU’s part since they are making their comeback just before the holidays so we’ll see if it works out for them. It is unsure at this time if LEGO will be doing anything with the new Toys R Us in regards to any exclusives like they used to do.

LEGO Announces New LEGO Replay Pilot Program

If you’re like me and have way too many LEGO bricks, LEGO has launched a new pilot program called LEGO Replay which allows you to donate bricks you don’t want to children’s non-profits in the US. LEGO is working with three different organizations including Give Back Box, Teach For America, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston. Check out the press release below.

ENFIELD, CONNECTICUT, October 8, 2019: Today, The LEGO Group announced the launch of LEGO® Replay, a pilot program that will accept any and all previously used LEGO bricks and donate them to children’s non-profits in the United States. The effort is a collaboration with Give Back Box, Teach For America, and Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston.

The process is simple: collect any loose LEGO bricks, sets, or elements, place them into a cardboard box, and visit www.lego.com/replay to print out a free UPS shipping label. The package will be sent to the Give Back Box facility, where each brick will be sorted, inspected by hand, and given a rigorous cleaning. This process is possible because LEGO bricks are made from high-quality, durable materials, designed to be used for generations.

“We know people don’t throw away their LEGO bricks,” said Tim Brooks, Vice President, Environmental Responsibility at the LEGO Group. “The vast majority hand them down to their children or grandchildren. But others have asked us for a safe way to dispose or donate their bricks, so with Replay, they have an easy option that’s both sustainable and socially impactful.”

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Rumored Price Increase in 2020

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 19 (71025)

In 2020, we’ll be getting a few series of LEGO Collectible Minifigures and it looks like we’ll be paying a little bit more for them. For about five years now, the LEGO Collectible Minifigures have been priced at $3.99 each but it looks like it will jump up a dollar next year. This comes from an email that I got a few weeks back and it looks to be confirmed by another source.

I’m not sure of the reasoning behind the rumored price increase but I’m sure fans will not be too pleased about it if is true, however, there are some cool new things that are rumored for 2020 which I’ll talk about later on which could be a reasoning of why we’ll be paying more for them. Of course, treat this as a rumor but considering two different sources have said it, I would say it may be true.
