LEGO set 6639 Raven Racer is a small set from the 1995 Race subtheme of Town. I remember this set as the first set I received that included the tool wheel sprue. In 1995, only 5 sets included the tool wheel, all in Dark Gray. It wasn’t until 1999 in the first Star Wars X-wing set that we received the tools in a new color, black. Raven Racer includes 1 minifigure, a dragster, and a tool rack. The tool wheel was also useful in giving you 6 clips in a set to hold the tools, a higher number of the same piece, especially in a set this small.

LEGO set 6546 Slick Racer 4 is an all-printed, 4-wide racer from 1996. This was one of the first 6 sets to include the now classic Slick Tires from which this set takes its name. This 38 piece set was an accompanying model to 6335 Indy Transport and 6337 Fast Track Finish. Cumulatively, these three sets contained the numbers 1 through 6 race cars, all in the same style. This particular copy comes sealed with not one, but two Kmart stickers!

LEGO set 6550 Outback Racer is the smallest of the LEGO Town subtheme of Outback. Outback boasted 5 different sets in 1997, all under the 200 piece count. With two helicopters, 3 automobiles, and an airplane, Outback was no small wonder. In what would today be a polybag, Outback Racer is sealed in a thumb-punch box and contains 1 Minifigure and a sticker sheet. The only question you are left with, is will you open it?
