Funcom LEGO Minifigures Online Official Press Release

Yesterday, we reported that a new trailer for the LEGO Minifigure Online game was live and there were new details about it. Today, Funcom has released an official press release of the game as well as the same trailer video that we’ve shown.

LEGO Minifigures Online Intro Trailer

IGN has released a new trailer for the LEGO Minifigures Online game. They have also interviewed Executive Producer Lawrence Poe and asked how this game will be different from other LEGO games including the failed LEGO Universe. One such difference is that LEGO Minifigures Online is a free to play game and not a subscription based game.

Accessibility is key for this game, so we’re trying to make it as easy as possible to get into the game and have fun. Obviously there will be a lot of younger players for this game so we are taking our time to ensure that we will provide the best experience for those young players and their parents both in terms of gameplay and the business model.

Lawrence also talks about the main objectives of the game, to find minifigures and using them on your adventure. Not only will you be looking for minifigures, there will also be a building aspect to the game.

The focus is on the minifigures and their adventures through fantastical worlds. The key aspect of the game is finding minifigures, learning to use their abilities in the best possible way, training your minifigures to become more powerful, and going through these cool worlds completing quests, defeating cool dungeon bosses and really just exploring and having fun. LEGO Hero Factory Invasion From Below App Announced

Today Azumo, creator of the LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack app, has announced a new game that will be available on iOS, Android, and Windows 8 in January 2014. Below is their official press release and images of the new game.

Work on a construction site within the heart of Antropolis City has come to an abrupt halt as a deadly new threat has accidentally been uncovered. Suddenly a swarm of beasts invade the city from below causing chaos, their motives are unknown and their intelligence is brutal.

The LEGO Movie Video Game EB Games Preorder Bonus

Brick Fanatics has reported that EB Games Australia is taking pre-orders going for The LEGO Movie Video Game and as a bonus, you will be getting an exclusive Emmet minifigure. This particular Emmet will be wearing a poncho over his normal outfit and a cowboy hat. As of this time, they are the only ones who have a preorder bonus but they are owned by Gamestop so we can probably expect something here in the US as well. We’ll be reporting on any pre-orders that happen here in the US.

LEGO The Hobbit Video Game Official Announcement Trailer Released

A few weeks ago, we reported that the LEGO The Hobbit video game will be released in 2014. Today, WB Games UK has released the official announcement trailer for the game. Obviously, the game will take place through the first two films of the Hobbit Trilogy, An Unexpected Journey and the Desolation of Smaug since those are the only movies released at the moment. Like many previous LEGO games, there will also be humor thrown in to balance all the action-packed levels you’ll be playing through. LEGO The Hobbit will be available on many platforms including Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Nintento Wii U, Nintendo 3DS, and PC.

LEGO The Hobbit sends players of all ages on an unforgettable interactive journey through the first two films in The Hobbit Trilogy, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and the upcoming The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug. Players will follow Bilbo Baggins as he is recruited by the Wizard Gandalf to aid Thorin Oakenshield and his Company of Dwarves. LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga Now Available on Apple iOS

Today, Warner Bros. and TT Games has released the LEGO Star Wars The Complete Saga video game on Apple iTunes. This mobile version of the game combines all six movies in the Star Wars saga into one convenient app. After the app is downloaded, Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace story mode is free to play and any subsequent content will be available for purchase or you can just download the whole complete saga for $14.99. There are 120 characters to unlock including some of the most well-known characters in the Star Wars Universe to use in 36 levels. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Poster

The LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game Facebook page has been releasing cards for some of the characters in the game and have been asking fans to share the image 50 times to unlock subsequent ones. In total, there were 21 characters revealed and each card shows a short description of the character as well as their special abilities or attributes. Today, LEGO Marvel revealed their giveaway for the brick-built Hulk figure that Arthur Parsons has been bringing around to different panels. Simply “like” and comment what your favorite Hulk moment in the game was for you and you’re entered. Unfortunately, the contest for the Hulk is only for residents of the United Kingdom. One lucky winner will be randomly tomorrow.
