LEGO Seasonal Easter Chick (40202)

Just a few days ago, the new LEGO Seasonal Easter Chick (40202) became available in stores and on Shop@Homeicon. The set contains only 111 pieces and retails the standard $9.99 price point. The contents of the box include a couple of bags and the instructions.

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468) Review

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468)

A few days ago, Toys R Us released a “new” LEGO Seasonal set with the Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468), otherwise known as the Chicken Suit Guy. This set retails for $5.99 and is currently available at Toys R Us stores in the US, if you can find them.

Outside of the box is a sleeve that slips off. The box is very simple looking and there’s nothing too special about it. The shape and artwork for the box resembles a small hen house with some Easter egg around it. The door opens up to reveal the Chicken Suit Guy sitting in one of those black container molds that we’ve seen in the Target Minifigure Boxes.

As for the Chicken Suit Guy, he’s pretty much the same minifigure as from the Series 9 Collectible Minifigures (71000). The only notable visual difference from the two is the head on the original one is hollow while the new one is solid. I also noticed the legs on the new one were somewhat more loose than the old one.

LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468)

Overall, I’m not sure what the purpose of the Iconic Easter (5004468) set is other than being a little Seasonal set that kids can enjoy. As for collectors, this set is a good opportunity to get the Chicken Suit Guy if you missed out on him three years ago. Since the release of this set, the price for the minifigure on the secondary market has dropped dramatically but as with these fairly exclusive sets, some are buying them up in … Continue

LEGO Minifigure Iconic Easter (5004468) Now Available Online at Toys R Us

LEGO Minifigure Iconic Easter (5004468)

If you’re looking to purchase the LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter Minifigure (5004468), aka the Chicken Suit Guy, you can now purchase it online at Toys R Us. As of this writing, it is available for Ship-To-Home for $5.99 each.

The Chicken Suit Guy is the same minifigure from the Series 9 Collectible Minifigures (71000) but it also comes with a cardboard box as well. The main reason why people are looking for him is because they’re going for a pretty steep amount on the secondary market and this is a cheaper way to get him. I’m not sure how many they have in stock online but hurry if you want to get one.

Update: It’s sold out online. Your best bet to get one is to sign up for their notifications for when they return to stock or keep checking in stores.

Update 2: It’s available again online and some stores have reported to have them in stock.

LEGO Seasonal Halloween 2016 Vampire Set Revealed

The LEGO Seasonal Easter Chick (40202) has started to show up at LEGO Brand Stores and on the back of the instructions, we get a sneak peek at the Halloween 2016 Seasonal set for 2016 which is a Vampire with a small bat. Again, the build will be a builable character and honestly, I like the head for the Vampire. Thanks to Sophie from LLC for the email.

LEGO Minifigure Iconic Easter (5004468) Listed on Toys R Us

LEGO Minifigure Iconic Easter (5004468)

It doesn’t look like the UK and parts of Europe will be the only country having the LEGO Minifigure Iconic Easter (5004468) set available. It was reported that the set will be available across the pond with purchases of £15 or more in March.

It looks like Toys R Us will also have the set available some time in the future. The set will retail for $5.99 and will include the Chicken Suit Guy minifigure from Series 9 (71000) along with a cardboard henhouse box as well.

This little Iconic Easter (5004468) set will be a good time to pick up the Chicken Suit Guy at a reasonable price for people who missed out on it the first around because that particular minifigure isn’t going for cheap on the secondary market. However, there’s no word yet on when it will be available. The item number is #648866 if you want to check in stores.

New LEGO Holiday Train Rumored for 2016

The talk around the LEGO community the past few days is about new LEGO Holiday Christmas Train that is rumored to be coming out later this year. This was first reported by nesquik on Eurobricks and was brought to light by Just2Good. It was mentioned that it is not a re-release of the 2006 Holiday Train (10173) so we don’t have to worry about the same issue that happened last year with the re-release of the Winter Toy Shop (10248). Keep in mind that nesquik has given legit information before in the past so what they are saying could be true. Of course things can change by the time the holiday season rolls around so I wouldn’t put too much into this rumor until some concrete details are uncovered. If a new Holiday Train is actually coming out this winter, would you guys be picking it up?

Update: The new Winter Holiday Train (10254) has been officially announced.

LEGO Seasonal 2016 Christmas Ornament (40223) Building Instructions

LEGO Seasonal 2016 Christmas Ornament (40223)

A few days ago, a new image of the LEGO Seasonal 2016 Christmas Ornament (40223) showed up online and now the instructions are also available if you want to build your own. Keep in mind that the 8×8 radar trans-clear radar dish (6093714) is a brand new piece so you may have to substitute something else in the meantime. You might also want to download the PDF while it is still available as I assume that LEGO didn’t want the instructions to be released this early in the year. This set will most likely be available during the holiday season as one of the LEGO promotions.
