LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures Season Two Trailer

LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures

The new trailer for season two of LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures has been released. We can see some of the upcoming sets in action in with the Tracker I (75185) and The Arrowhead (75186). The new season introduces a new character called M-OC Hunter Droid which has been unleashed by Emperor Palpatine to find the Freemakers. Season two will premiere this summer on Disney XD and you can check out the trailer below.

At the end of the first season, the Freemaker family found a new home with the rebel fleet. Their new circumstances bring them face to face with brutal Imperial forces, desperate Hutts, conniving Sith Lords, and the Emperor’s latest plaything, M-OC, a terrifying hunter droid who continually modifies himself to fit any occasion. In response to these threats, Rowan’s powers grow and strengthen until he has a vision of a sleek, invulnerable ship that can save the Rebellion and stop the Empire in its tracks – the Arrowhead. The catch is, the Arrowhead is a ship only Rowan can build. Once again, it’s up to the youngest Freemaker to save the galaxy.

Have We Seen the Last of the LEGO Star Wars May the 4th Exclusive Minifigures?

This year, LEGO will end their six year run of exclusive minifigures for the annual May the 4th promotion with the LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (30611) polybag as it was confirmed on the May 2017 LEGO Store Calendar. For many collectors, including me, the May the 4th promo is one of the times of the year where we are excited to see what characters we’re going to get as a minifigure that we normally wouldn’t get in a regular set. The Star Wars canon as well as the Expanded Universe is massive and there is an unlimited number of characters that could be turned into buildable characters like R2-D2.

Does this year’s polybag start a new trend for buildable characters for future LEGO May the 4th promotions or do you think this is just a one-off thing for 2017 of LEGO testing the waters for these kind of polybags? Keep in mind, this post is about the May the 4th promotions and not ones that are for other times of the year.

Here’s a list of the May the 4th LEGO minifigures from previous years:

2011: Shadow ARF Trooper (2856197)

2012: TC-14 (5000063)

2013: Hoth Han Solo (5001621)

2014: Darth Revan (5002123)

2015: Admiral Yularen (5002949)

2016: First Order Stormtrooper (30602)

Star Wars Celebration 2017 LEGO Exclusives Lottery Rules

If you are going to Star Wars Celebration next week, here’s some news about the LEGO lottery they are holding for a chance to purchase the exclusives. A reader over on our Facebook Page has let us know about the rules on getting in on the LEGO exclusives at the convention.

LEGO doesn’t do many exclusives for Star Wars Celebration but for this year, they will have something in store for attendees. There’s no word yet on what the exclusives will be but I assume we’ll hear something soon.

To get in on the exclusives, you must have a ticket to Star Wars Celebration itself, then you must fill out a form to get into a lottery for a chance to purchase them. Check out the full rules of the lottery below.

Participation in this process is REQUIRED in order to win a priority ticket with a reserved time to visit the LEGO booth at Star Wars Celebration Orlando. The lottery process will close at 12:01 AM EST on April 6. All winners will be notified by April 7 of the date and time that they can line up at the LEGO booth.

The LEGO booth will open to the public each day AFTER the ticketed sessions (approximately 4:00 PM Thurs-Fri-Sat-Sun) if there is remaining inventory available. The only way to get a ticket to the first sessions of the day is to enter the lottery!

Sessions for all days of Celebration:

Session 1: report to the LEGO Booth at 10:00 AM

LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (30611) to be May the 4th Promo Polybag

LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (30611)

It looks like we have some confirmation of what the May the 4th LEGO promotion will be for this year and we’ve already seen images of it before. A reader has emailed in details and they were told that it will be the brick-built LEGO Star Wars R2-D2 (30611) polybag. You can get it for free during the May the 4th promotion with a LEGO Star Wars purchase of $75 or more at LEGO Brand Stores and on Shop@Home.

I’ve been told that it this year’s promotional polybag would be a little different from previous years when they were exclusive minifigures and it appears that the brick-built R2-D2 will do just that. If you don’t wish to make a purchase during the May the 4th promo, you can build your own as the instructions have been online for a while. The only downside is that you have to substitute the front detailing as the printed 1×1 tiles are exclusive to this set. We’ll definitely confirm it when the May 2017 LEGO Store Calendar comes out in a few days.

Thanks to Sid for the info.
