LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2014 Set Details

A few weeks ago, we did a post on what some of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes sets could be. Today, Kris Kelvin over at Eurobricks has gotten to see some blurry images of the 2014 Marvel sets and have given some descriptions on what we can kind of expect in the future sets. These are stated to be released in March 2014. The user also listed the DC Universe Super Heroes sets and you can read more there as well. We’ve also done a post with some descriptions of the DC sets.

Update: There are also some pricing listed for the sets from the user. They are in Polish Zloty but I’ve converted them to Euros. Since US pricing is somewhat based on Euro prices, we can approximate what they would cost here in the States.

Spider-Man

I’m going to venture a guess that the 2014 Spider-Man sets will be based on the Ultimate Spider-Man animated TV series similar to last year’s sets.

76014 – Spider-Man riding some sort of “tricycle” and another minifigure with a green torso, yellow hands, and yellow legs. I’m going to guess that the other minifig is Electro. – ~$17

76015 – Includes Spider-Man, Doctor Octopus, another minifigure, and a car. Hopefully we get a Doc Ock variant and not the same one as in the Doc Ock Ambush (6873). – ~$24

76016 – Includes a flying vehicle with two rotors, Spider-Man, and a brick-build figure. The vehicle could be the Spider Copter and the brick-built figure could be … Continue

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Villains Featuring MODOK

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Villains

Game Informer has released a new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes poster featuring some of the villains of the game including an article on Mental/Mobile/Mechanized Organism Designed Only for Killing or MODOK. Game Director Arthur Parsons gives some details of the character and what he does in the game:

“Doctor Doom is scouring the planet looking for the cosmic Lego bricks from the Silver Surfer’s board and enlists the help of A.I.M., who supply him with a purpose-built ship, the Doom Tanker. This navigates the seas looking for bricks and is crewed by A.I.M. Goons under the jurisdiction of MODOK. So as the player is tracking the cosmic Lego bricks – when they least expect it – MODOK turns up to rain on their parade. As sinister as ever, MODOK assaults the player and tries to slow them down allowing Doctor Doom to escape in the S.H.I.E.L.D. Research Submarine.”

The poster itself shows many recognizable villains in the Marvel universe including Loki, Doctor Doom, Mystique, Kingpin, Doctor Octopus, Abomination, Bullseye, Magneto, Venom, MODOK, and the Green Goblin.

Thanks to “Anthony Stark” for the heads up.

Update: Now that we have the Villains side of the poster, I decided to do a little Photoshop to combine both the Heroes and Villains like they’re ready to go into battle. Just waiting for an official image similar to what I’ve created.

LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes/Star Wars 2014 Minifigures

Solid Brix Studios has posted an image of a couple of the new LEGO minifigures from DC Universe Super Heroes as well as Star Wars. As you can see, he has acquired a new variant of the Joker most likely from The Joker Steam Roller (76013) set. He also has a V-Wing Starfighter Pilot from the V-Wing Starfighter (75039) set. We’re not sure how he has gotten a hold of them but you can be sure that more LEGO minifigures and set images will be popping up very soon.

Update: Doing some research, I’ve found that it was the same user on BrickLink who “leaked” the Batgirl minifigure.

Update: Looks like the “original” imaged posted by Solid Brix Studios has been taken down.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Video Game Vehicles

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes - X-Jet

During TT Game’s Director Arthur Parson’s interview with IGN, he has given some details of the vehicles from the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes video game.

X-Jet

The X-Men’s primary source of conventional travel, obtained by Professor X from S.H.I.E.L.D. the X-Jet is unrivalled, being able to cloak at the switch of a button, enabling it to sneak up on anyone. Definitely the vehicle to use when traversing distance and wanting to arrive unannounced!

Deadpool Scooter

The Merc with a mouth has a slick new motor-bike to get around town. A wolf in sheep’s clothing, this deceptive machine has more power than Luke Cage. Plus it makes an awesome ‘weeeeeeeee’ noise when it moves too!

Spider Copter

S.H.I.E.L.D. are not the only people with gadgets and gizmos. The Spider Copter was designed for Spider-Man by Nick Fury to enable the webbed wonder to get from A to B swiftly, and should he encounter problems en route, the agile copter has quick-fire flick rockets.

Pumpkin Chopper

Usually Green Goblin is seen blasting around New York on his glider, however for longer journeys he chooses the comfort and luxury afforded him by the Pumpkin Chopper. While comfortable though, the Pumpkin Chopper is extremely nimble and has powerful rapid fire missiles.

Magneto Mobile

When driving the Magneto Mobile, nobody will tell you what to do. A car well ahead of its time, inspired by the 1978 Menace of Magneto, this car needs no gas so it is environmentally friendly. The car can cruise the streets of New York without even
