San Diego Comic Con 2012 – LEGO Super Heroes Minifigures Part 2

CNN has revealed pictures of the other two minifigures for the exclusive giveaways at San Diego Comic Con 2012. In addition to Bizarro and Phoenix, you can also try to get Shazam and Venom if you are at the LEGO booth on Friday.

San Diego Comic Con 2012 – LEGO Super Heroes Minifigures

USA Today has released pictures of the exclusive giveaways for the new LEGO Super Heroes minifigures. Shown in the pictures are DC Universe’s Bizarro and Marvel’s Phoenix/Jean Grey. The other minifigs being given away are DC’s Shazam and Marvel’s Venom. There will be 1000 of each minifig given away on Friday.

**Update** FBTB notes that these minifigures will not be in any future LEGO sets.

LEGO has released their plans for this year’s San Diego Comic Con. There are many cool things to be revealed from different themes including Lord of the Rings, Super Heroes, Star Wars, and Ninjago. Below is the official press release.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873) Now Available at Walmart

The new LEGO Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873)icon set has shown up on Walmart’s website, earlier than the expected August 1 released. The price is listed at $29.97 which is less than what we thought it would be when it was first announced. That is a definite thumbs up in my book. Unfortunately, it shows that it is out of stock online. LEGO fans sure jumped on it quick! Maybe there are some in stores soon?

    LEGO Ninjago & Man of Steel News

    LEGO Community Coordinator Kevin Hinkle revealed that the LEGO Ninjago sets will be discountinued in 2013. However, there will be a Season 2 on Cartoon Network and will be at least one more wave coming out in 2013. Ninjago will be replaced by an unknown series but FBTB notes from Variety that Warner Brothers has a licencing agreement with LEGO to produce sets for the new Man of Steel movie. This is some awesome new because it adds more to to the Super Heroes line.

    LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873) Preview

    There is now an image of the new LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Spider-Man’s Doc Ock Ambush (6873). The set will be based on the new Ultimate Spider-Man animated series on Disney XD later this year. There will be 362 pieces and retails for $39.99. There will be 3 minifigures in the set: Spider-Man, Doctor Ock, and Iron Fist.

    From what we can see from the box, Iron Fist is tied up in Doc Ock’s lab and Spider-Man is trying to save him. There is also a small vehicle that Doc Ock comes in on.

    LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase (6864) Review

    The Batmobile and the Two-Face Chase (6864) is the third LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes set to be review by The Brick Fan. This set retails for $49.99 and contains 531 pieces. This set has one of the better price to piece ratio especially for a licensed set at $0.09/piece. There are four numbered bags, two instruction booklets, and comic book #5.
