LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) Officially Announced

Yesterday LEGO did a teaser for LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) and today they have officially announced the set. It has 2,704 pieces, retailing for $299.99 and it will be availale globally on June 1 at LEGO Brand Stores and on Shop@Home. Check out the press release and some more images of the set below.

LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) Teaser Video

News has been fairly quiet lately but today LEGO has posted a teaser of the LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) on their Facebook Page. If you look closely, you can kind of see that it is orange as rumored before. The caption also shows it coming in 911 hours. I’ve been told official release of it in the US is in 911 hours or in 37 days which is June 1 while the rest of the world is on August 1. As for pricing, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) will be €299 and £249 as stated at the London Toy Fair. Now the wait is on for June 1st.

LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) Details

Back at the Nuremberg Toy Fair, LEGO revealed the LEGO Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) that will be coming out later this year but there were no details on it. Our friends over at PromoBricks has found out some concrete info on it including the release date of August 1 and will be priced at €299 and £249 which was revealed at the London Toy Fair.

In addition, a Swiss online shop does not mention that there are any batteries included like the other Technic sets so we can assume there are no Power Functions in the set so the pricing of the set will be mostly on the parts count which is still unknown at this time.

Another small detail that Michael has given is that the Porsche 911 GT3 RS will be a “lava orange” color and not the prototype camouflage that is shown in the image above which car makers use to disguise their future models.

LEGO Nuremberg Toy Fair 2016 Set Images

Just like that and then 2016 Nuremberg Toy Fair has started and there are now some images of the summer wave of LEGO sets. The guys over at PromoBricks and Zusammengebaut are there and they have provided the images for the world to see. There will also be videos as well from both sites later as well as more higher quality images when they are settled in after each day. Again, I’ll keep this post updated as more images are shared. LEGO London Toy Fair 2016 Set Details

The 2016 London Toy Fair has kicked off and it looks like our friends over at Brick Fanatics has the initial scoop of some of the LEGO sets that have been shown off to invited attendees. Again, photography is not allowed in the LEGO booth so we’ll have to wait a few days for the Nuremberg Toy Fair to see them. Note that these sets do correspond to some of the rumor posts I have previously done. Stay tuned as I’ll keep this post updated when more news come in.

Some LEGO 2016 City, Creator, and Technic Sets Now Available on Shop@Home

It’s technically December 1st on the east coast and that means some new LEGO 2016 sets are now available for purchase on Shop@Home. Some of the sets that are available include sets from various LEGO themes such as Cityicon, Creatoricon, and Technicicon. The two Disney Princess Frozenicon sets are also available today as well. I believe this is the first time that LEGO has officially released sets for the next year a whole month early. If you’re doing some Christmas shopping, this gives you some more options to choose from.

LEGO 2016 Official Images Surfacing Online

LEGO has started to upload official images of a few of the 2016 LEGO City, Creator, and Technic sets to their servers. A few of the sets have also been listed on Shop@Home if you can find the link with them being scheduled for release on December 1. This is probably the first time I’ve heard of 2016 sets being released before Christmas so if the listings are indeed true, there are more options for your holiday shopping.
