LEGO The Hobbit Barrel Escape (79004) Designer Video

For this week, the designer video for the LEGO The Hobbit Barrel Escape (79004) has been released on their YouTube channel. Bjarke Lykke Madsen, senior designer for LEGO, describes the set and play features in more detail as well as the minifigures included in the set: Bilbo Baggins, Oin, Gloin, and two Mirkwood Elves (cellar chief and Elvan guard). All of the minifigures are exclusive to the set except for Bilbo. The Barrel Escape is one of the two Hobbit Trilogy Special Preview Sets with the other being Escape from Mirkwood Spiders (79001). More details of the set will be revealed on November 12 on The Hobbit minisite.

**Note** The minisite has been updated with the reveal of the Escape from Mirkwood Spiders set but the video of the Barrel Escape came out today, which is a little odd.

LEGO The Hobbit Attack of the Wargs (79002) Designer Video

With half of the new LEGO The Hobbit sets already “revealed” on their minisite, LEGO has released another set and the designer video in their weekly unveiling of the sets on the interactive Middle Earth map. For this week, they have released Attack of the Wargs (79002). Jordan Scott describes the play features of the set more in-depth as well as the minifigures included: Thorin Oakenshield, Bifur the Dwarf, Yazneg and 2 Hunter Orcs.

Having escaped the Goblins of The Misty Mountains, The Company of Dwarves come face to face with another terrible threat! Catapult the Dwarves into the leafy branches of the tall tree where they’ll be safe as Yazneg™ and 2 Hunter Orcs arrive on Wargs and attack! When the Orcs try to burn the tree down, use the tree’s magic flame shooter function to fight back. Includes 5 minifigures: Thorin Oakenshield™, Bifur the Dwarf, Yazneg and 2 Hunter Orcs, all with assorted weapons.

LEGO The Hobbit Riddles For The Ring (79000) Designer Video

LEGO has released their third designer video in the LEGO The Hobbit series their YouTube channel and on their minisite. For this week, they have released Riddles For The Ring (79000). This set shows the scene where Bilbo Baggins encounters Gollum in the Goblin Caves. Hans Henrik Sidenius returns in this video to describe the set in more detail including the minifigures and the play features.

On the shores of an underground lake beneath the Misty Mountains, Bilbo Baggins™, armed with Sting, discovers a magic ring that was recently lost by the creature Gollum™. Use the reveal function to take the golden Ring! But beware – only Gollum, aboard his boat of Goblin skin and bones, knows the way out. Can our Hobbit hero solve the riddles asked by Gollum and escape to freedom with the Ring before Gollum realizes it’s gone? LEGO The Hobbit The Goblin King Battle (79010) Designer Video

LEGO has released the second LEGO The Hobbit designer video on their YouTube channel. This time, they have released The Goblin King Battle (79010) for your viewing pleasure. The Goblins have captured the heroic Dwarves and imprisoned them deep inside their filthy caves. Gandalf the Grey sneaks past The Goblin King to free his friends. If you go to the Official LEGO The Hobbit site, you’ll find that there are more details and images for the new sets. Starting from now to November 12, LEGO will be releasing images of the sets every Monday. Right now, you can see the details of the An Unexpected Gathering (79003) set.

Gandalf the Grey has invited the Dwarves to Bag End — the Hobbit home of Bilbo Baggins. At first, Bilbo is not happy about cooking for so many unexpected and rude guests! But when they invite him to join their quest to The Lonely Mountain, the Company set out on their epic adventure.
