LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 (31313) Now Available at Shop@Home

It is September and the new LEGO MINDSTORMS EV3 is now available for sale at LEGO stores and on Shop@Home. The set will contain 601 pieces and will retail for $349.99. It latest version of MINDSTORMS line comes fully equipped with many new features such as an infrared sensor, a new Linux-based firmware, a USB port, and an SD card slot. It will be using Linux firmware that will be compatible with Android and iOS operating systems. The EV3 will also have Bluetooth support so you can program the machine using your mobile devices. If you do decide to pick up the EV3, remember there are 12 additional bonus models on the MINDSTORMS minisite.

The long-awaited LEGO Star Wars Ewok Village (10236) is now available to the public at LEGO stores as well as on Shop@Home. Many Star Wars fans have been waiting for a full size village to complete their Endor displays. LEGO did come out with a small part of the village with the Ewok Attack (7956) but it wasn’t anything near the size of the new Ewok Village. This set contains 1990 pieces and retails for $249.99. If you’re buying the set this month, there’s also a couple of LEGO September promotions you should know about. LEGO Winter Village Market (10235) Available For LEGO VIPs on Sept 16

GRogall on Eurobricks has reported that the LEGO Creator Expert Winter Village Market (10235) will be available early for LEGO VIP members on September 16th. The official release date of the set is October 1st but VIP members are allowed to purchase it early much like other LEGO exclusive sets. Now here’s the catch. If you purchase the set in September, you can get the FREE exclusive Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (40079) with your purchase or you could wait until October when LEGO usually has the double VIP points promotion going on. The double VIP points isn’t confirmed for October yet for this year but LEGO has had the promotion in that month the past couple of years so it’s safe to assume that they will have it this year as well.

Update: The Winter Village Market is now available for purchase for LEGO VIP members.

They will be available in stores as well as on Shop@Home. You have to be signed in with your LEGO ID to be able to purchase it online.

Unless you really like the LEGO Galaxy Squad Mini Mech (30230), I would suggest waiting a couple more weeks for the official release. That way, you can get the Mini Volkswagen T1 Camper Van (40079) as well as the LEGO Star Wars Clone Trooper Lieutenant (5001709) polybags for the Ewok Village. For the Sydney Opera House, you’ll only be eligible for the VW Camper Van with your purchase.
