Toys R Us stores and online is currently have a promotion going for a free LEGO City Coast Guard Seaplane Polybag (30225) with purchases of $20 or more on any LEGO sets. I managed to get one by itself since I didn’t really need to get any other sets at this time. The polybag contains 37 pieces and retails for $3.99 which comes out to about $0.11/piece.

Build

The Seaplane is a pretty quick build that took about five minutes to finish building. The main colors of the vehicle are white, orange, and blue which matches the current colors of the Coast Guard sets. It has a open cockpit design with flip down headlights in the front. Attached to each side of the steering wheel are some binoculars and a yellow lifesaver. On each side of the wings are a couple of propellers.

Results

Overall, the Coast Guard Seaplane (30225) polybag is a fairly good set. There’s not any play features on it except for the spinning propellers if you count that. It makes a good addition to your LEGO City despite it’s boringness. At $3.99, I’d suggest picking it up just because it’s a polybag.
