LEGO will be releasing a new LEGO Disney promotion tomorrow when the Disney 100 Years Celebration (40600). The details are still unclear on how to get it but there are reports that will be will be available from July 1-9 with purchases $100 in LEGO Disney products.
Minifigure
The set comes with an exclusive Mickey Mouse minifigure. This version of Mickey has him in a silver suit with the stars having a metallic shine on both sides of the torso.
Build
The build is separated into three small models. All of them makes use of the same base style and each of them has a clip on the back to hold a note or a photo. The first build is the Disney 100 sign with some balloons in the back. The front of it has a table with a chocolate cake.
The second build is presumably Walt Disney’s desk with a printed tile drawing of Steamboat Willie.
The final build is the most elaborate one and it features a small theater. The main screen has Minnie Mouse’s decorations and in front of it has a screen projector. It has a printed screen of Steamboat Willie and uses a light brick to project it on the screen. There’s also a separate chair with some popcorn.
Results
Overall the LEGO Disney 100 Years Celebration (40600) is a fun little set that makes a nice display piece if you’re celebrating Disney 100. The screen projector is probably the best part of the build and the exclusive Mickey minifigure isn’t too bad either. Again you’ll need to purchase $100 in LEGO Disney products to get it and there’s a pretty small window to get it so don’t hold off if you want it.
