Every year at this time, it’s been a tradition of me doing the LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendars. The calendars are pretty special to me as they are one of the first reviews I’ve done on The Brick Fan since getting back into LEGO. This year is no different as I have the new LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar (75097). It consists of 292 pieces and retails for $39.99. It is currently sold out at LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home. I warned readers to pick it up as soon as possible when it became available in August/September because they tend to sell out by this time.
Anyways, the first day of the LEGO Star Wars 2015 Advent Calendar (75097) is Jabba’s Sail Barge. It has only 12 pieces but all of them are important in making the vehicle. The slope pieces and the 1×1 tiles pretty much make the ship distinguishable with the sails and steering vanes. One nice thing that LEGO has included is the translucent dish piece to make it seem that it’s flying.
