LEGO The Hobbit The Lonely Mountain (79018) Revealed

LEGO The Hobbit The Lonely Mountain (79018)

In addition to the bombshell that was reported while I was away from my computer, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed one of the new LEGO The Hobbit sets that is due out later this year, The Lonely Mountain (79018). The set consists of 866 pieces and has five minifigures: Bilbo Baggins, Balin, Dwalin, Fili, and Kili as well as Smaug the dragon. The set will retail for $129.99 and will be based on The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Like with many sets that have been recently revealed, The Lonely Mountain will be displayed at San Diego Comic Con 2014 for attendees to get a closer look at.

Smaug alone makes this great. He looks brilliant!

the battle of 5 minifigs is more like it… i bet/hope that price is wrong… i’m disappointed after waiting this long for smaug. if it’s really smaug he should be way bigger maybe like the jointed vikings dragons. i hope they’ll do a decent balrog and fell beast some day

I would only get this set for Smaug but it’s kinda disappointing. It’s the neck that kills it for me, it looks too long and skinny and the way Smaug is standing looks weird.also, I know it’s a licensed set but $130 for 866 pieces? Terrible pricing.

These LEGO prices are annoying and way overpriced!

http://thehobbit.lego.com/en-us/videos/the-lonely-mountain should be $99 or less otherwise it’s not going to sell too well. (hopefully all legos aren’t taking a price jump) i’d pay 150 if they did smaug right. as it is he can not open his mouth wide enough to eat a hobbit which is just wrong (according to the scale peter jackson set up in his film)
