There’s more news from The Brick Show regarding some Toys R Us exclusive polybags. The first is the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Rocket Raccoon (5002145) polybag and they note that it will now be a gift with purchase item during Black Friday. This contradicts a previous post in which it was stated they would be available as a stand-alone polybag on November 16 for $4.99 each. It’s hard to grasp which way Toys R Us will making it available because news keeps changing every couple of weeks. And yes, we already know that Canada already had this promotion with purchases of $30 or more.
The second polybag is the LEGO Ninjago Dareth (5002144). Jason has stated that this could also be a gift with purchase promotion for spending a certain amount of money. Before, this one was only available in the UK.
Personally, I haven’t seen or heard promotions for these two polybags and I work at Toys R Us. Plus, TRU doesn’t really advertise their promos very well so it’s kind of hard to get a definite answer on these polybags. Let us know in the comments if you were able to get them here in the US and how you were able to obtain them minus the secondary markets (BrickLink, eBay).
Update 11/16: There have been many reports coming in that the Rocket Raccoon polybag is available for sale today at TRU.

I was told by mngmnt they would be given out free at the Lego event on November 22nd where we can help build a holiday village! Could be that different trus are making their own judgement calls on this. Ruh roh
I Dareth last week here in the UK. Was £4.99.
I saw a big display for Lego Guardians at my TRU, and proceeded to check out with only a couple on the 13th. The manager almost didn’t let me leave with one because the system said “Do Not Sell Until 16th Promo Only” and she had to ask me for the price. They pulled them off the shelves after I left.
I live in the Dallas area of Texas and I picked myself up two this morning. I called a few stores and most had them out.
The manager of the store I went to made it seem like they were suppose to be released today.
Just called valencia tru and they have none. Van nuys had a ton she said and limited to 5 per person. She is holding two for us 🙂
They had them behind the customer service desk at the Culver City, CA TRU and only let me buy 3 It seems like most TRUs got 50 bags total. At least in the Los Angeles area.
Park Lane in Dallas had them in managers office. Limit 1 per customer
Bayshore New York TRU stores had Rocket Polybags for sale today.
I got two of each today with no problem. I couldn’t find them at first, asked at customer service. Turned out they were about to put them on the shelf, so I got first dibs. Didn’t seem to be a limit, but I didn’t want to push it.
Picked up 20 Rockets today at Cincinnati Kenwood TRU, had about 20 left on end cap. No limit on purchase, but it is a bit odd that they were selling them as the package says right on the back ‘not for sale’.
Found some at one of my local TRU’s. Called a few stores and some of the employees acted like I was crazy. Anyways, the store that had them either had them out for a few days or they were selling quick. Grabbed a handful, and even got a free Mikey polybag.
Had them in Lexington, Ky today. Got one for 4.99. Somebody had hidden them in minifigures box.
Fullerton, Ca sold out in minutes but they like to help the ebay crowd such when a women was buying about 20 bricktober sets at once. Buena Park had them behind customer service and it was one per guest. Mikey’s Shellraiser was also behind the counter as free with purchase but I bought it separate with Rocket.
People who buy ridiculously copious amounts of items like these are the reason these sets are so hard to get. You are the reason adults are being kicked out of Lego events now because they assume we are trying to profit. You are the reason lego makes it so difficult for us to get our hands on items to complete our collections because they are worried thy will be sold instead of played with. Shame on you. If yr going to do go to eBay stop posting it on FAN sites.
The Clackamas TRU near Portland, OR had a few this AM. I had to ask an employee to look for them and give them the Lego set number. They didn’t seem to have a limit on purchases, but I only picked up enough for myself and my nephews, so I don’t know if that’s the case or not. I’m not a speculator, just trying to be a cool uncle. 🙂
Tru in FL said they have over 200. BUT the catch is they won’t be released till the 21st, as some sort of promotion. (No other detail given) has anybody had any luck with an express location?
Does this apply to all TRU FL stores? Hope not!
