The LEGO Batman Movie 2017 Hallmark Ornament

The LEGO Batman Movie Hallmark Ornament

If you’re a collector of the LEGO Hallmark Ornaments and was disappointed that there wasn’t one last year, you’ll be glad to know that there will be one this year. In previous years besides last year, Hallmark has been releasing LEGO ornaments and it looks like they’ll be releasing one later this year for The LEGO Batman Movie. In the Hallmark Keepsake Dream Book, they have listed Batman (QX12215) to be available later this year for $15.95.

Thanks to Deb for the heads up.

LEGO Ideas Medieval Watermill Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Medieval Watermill by fishingtwister is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project can easily incorporate into a castle themed setting. It proposes three minifigures, a mom, dad, and son but the main feature here is that it can integrate Power Functions to rotate the watermill with everything hidden inside the building.

The project now joins The Blues Mobile, SEGA Classic Arcade Machines, Dungeon Master, Red Arrows Hawk, Venetian Houses, and Jeep Wrangler, NBC’s The Office, Tron Legacy Cycle, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and Surf Rescue as the projects to reach the First 2017 Review Stage.

LEGO Star Wars Toys R Us May the 4th Building Event

The Toys R Us website hasn’t been updated yet but there will be a LEGO Star Wars May the 4th building event on May 6 from 12-2pm. There’s no word yet on what the build will be but hopefully we’ll get to see something before the event actually starts. If you are attending, remember to get there early as these events are very popular.

Update: Apparently, there’s a sign up form for the event and it is revealed on the page that the build will be a Micro Princess Leia. There’s a limited number of spots available for that day so sign up if you wish to attend. I’m not sure if the rules have changed and if walk-ups are accepted. I would call your store to confirm.

LEGO Creator Fairground Carousel (10256) Rumored for June Release

In the last few years except for 2016, LEGO has released some LEGO Creator D2C Fairground sets. There’s a rumor of a Fairground Carousel (10256) that has been floating the LEGO community for a few months now and it looks like it will be coming on June 1 according to Tragic Banjo over on Eurobricks. LEGO might have been dropping hints since March when the LEGO Star Wars UCS Snowspeeder (75144) was revealed. If you checked out the designer video, you can see Jamie Berard doing circling motions which could suggest a carousel spinning.

If this is true, it will join the Fairground Mixer (10244) and the Ferris Wheel (10247) as the sets in this LEGO Creator Fairground subtheme and will be the second large scale carousel that will be released with the first one being the Grand Carousel (10196) from 2009. Jamie Berard was the designer for both of the recent fairground sets. There’s no word on pricing or piece count at this time. I’m going to assume that the official reveal will be sometime in May with early VIP access as well.

Thanks to CM4Sci for the heads up.

Toys R Us Hong Kong has posted the official images of the LEGO Star Wars Jedi Starfighter with Hyperdrive (75191). The set has four minifigures including R4-P17, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Boba Fett, and Jango Fett. I assume the build is based on the Episode II: Attack of the Clones where Obi-Wan is going to Kamino where he discovers the Clone Army. I’ve been told the set will go for about $129.99 but we’ll see.
