Red Dwarf Area Found in LEGO Dimensions

Here’s something interesting coming out of Twitter earlier today. LEGO Dimensions designer/writer Joe Moore tweeted out an image of the Red Dwarf area which was found in the Fantastic Beasts Story Pack (71253). As we know, Red Dwarf isn’t an official LEGO license yet, as far was we know, however there was a Red Dwarf project that just hit 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas just last week.

Does this actually we’ll be getting a Red Dwarf expansion pack in the future? Not necessarily. If you remember from last year, there were stages that included the Jetsons and Flintstones but there weren’t any physical sets that came out of that so this could just be an easter egg like the previous ones.

LEGO Juniors Winter 2017 Official Images

LEGO Juniors Anna & Elsa's Frozen Playground (10736)

There are now some official winter 2017 LEGO Juniors sets which comes out from Hoth Bricks. The sets use more LEGO licensed themes like DC Comics and Disney as well as some internal themes like Friends.

If you’re new to LEGO and are not familiar with the Juniors line, it’s a transitions theme for kids who have grown out of DUPLO and is an introduction to the standard LEGO bricks.

LEGO Seasonal Pilgrim’s Feast (40204) Review

LEGO Seasonal Pilgrim's Feast (40204)

Thanksgiving is only a week away and to celebrate the holiday, LEGO has released the LEGO Seasonal Pilgrim’s Feast (40204)icon. The set contains 163 pieces and normally retails for $9.99 but you can get it for half off on Shop@Home and at the LEGO Store. The contents of the box include three un-numbered bags and the instructions.

The build is pretty simple and like the set names states, it features a chubby pilgrim stuffing his face with some turkey while sitting on a a pumpkin. The legs are are hinges so they can be separated depending on what sitting position you want him at. The arms are on ball joints and they have a wide range of motion while each hand is holding a turkey drumstick. The head does not move and to me, he has a derpy expression. Some may say he looks creepy but I think it looks fine. One thing to note that the nose uses a 1×1 round tile in tan which is pretty rare since it is only available in two other 2016 sets.

Overall, I think the LEGO Seasonal Pilgrim’s Feast (40204)icon is one of the better Seasonal sets that LEGO has released this year. Combine that with the lower price the set goes for now, it’s a good one to pick up.

LEGO Year of the Rooster 2017 Set Revealed

Here’s something cool for the readers who follow the lunar calendar. 2017 will be the Year of the Rooster according to a Weixin post, a LEGO Year of the Rooster set will be given away to those who were born in those particular years (1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005, 2017) via a voucher at the Shanghai LEGO Store from January 13-22. For those in other parts of the world who want one, it’s most likely you won’t find it available unless you purchase it off the secondary market.

LEGO continues to please the Asian market with these sets based on the years of the Chinese zodiac. In 2013, the Year of the Snake (10250) was released. In 2015, fans had the Year of the Sheep (40148) while this year had the Year of the Monkey (40207). Now I just have to wait until 2018 for my Year of the Dog set, if there is one.
