Since I haven’t done a giveaway in a while and I have some extras of the LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 15 (71011), here’s your chance to win a complete set of them. The contest will start today and will run for two weeks until midnight April 1, 2016. There will be one winner and it will be drawn shortly after the contest is over.
I’m trying a different giveaway app to see if it works a bit better than the one I’ve used before. If you’ve entered other contests before, the rules are pretty similar to before.
Good luck!
**Thank you to the LEGO ARP Team for providing the minifigures for the giveaway. Prize will be mailed by me.**
A few days ago, LEGO released the newest wave of LEGO Dimensions expansion packs including the Ghostbusters Stay Puft Fun Pack (71233). This Fun Pack contains 65 pieces and normally retails for $14.99 but they’ve been on sale for half off recently.
Minifigure
The minifigure included in the Fun Pack is the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man which many LEGO Ghostbusters fans have been waiting for. He’s a pretty simple minifigure but the character is represented perfectly in minifigure form. The torso has the red scarf pattern which could be very nice for other minifigure uses while the head and collar piece is one mold. The head itself is very nice with the little molding details of the chubby face. Finally it comes with the NFC disc that all Dimensions minifigures come with.
Build
The main build for the Fun Pack is the Terror Dog. It does resemble the demonic beast very well even though it is brick-built. The face has the angry look that is accentuated by the red eyes. The head
The first alternate build for the Terror Dog is the Terror Dog Destroyer. It’s almost the same as the regular one but it has two heads.
The last build for the Terror Dog is the Soaring Terror Dog which is a flying version of it that kind of look like a dragon.
A few years ago, LEGO released the Sort and Store (5001125) which was shaped like a minifigure head that allows you to shake the head to sort your bricks. This allows you to theorically sort your large, medium, and small bricks into their respective trays.
After about a year on the market, the LEGO Sort and Store was retired and no official LEGO product has had that feature since. Since then a fairly new third-party company called Blokpod has released a new product that has a similar design and use as the Sort and Store. However there are some differences between the two. First is the transparent case. You can actually see your bricks and how they get sorted when you shake it. Another difference is that it is larger and contains four compartments for even more storage capacity.
With Blokpod, you remove the trays by turning them clockwise instead of anticlockwise as the instructions say and vice versa to lock them in place. The plastic is pretty stiff when you first use it but they loosen up once you open it up more. They are modular so you can add more or less to your liking.
Again, the premise of the Blokpod is the same as the old Sort and Store. You pour in your bricks and at the top and give it a good shake. The smallest pieces theoretically are supposed to fall to the bottom while larger pieces are supposed to stay in the higher levels. As you can see, some of the … Continue
Just a short while ago, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment sent out an official press release for the new DLCs that was first reported on yesterday for the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game. The first new DLC that will be released is the Classic Captain Marvel Pack which comes out on March 29.

For some reason, the recently released LEGO Seasonal Iconic Easter (5004468) has been rather popular among LEGO fans. If you followed my post this past weekend, Shop@Home North America had an unannounced promotion for the Chicken Suit Guy Minifigure for only a few hours while supplies lasted. Those who placed an order for it during that short period of time would have potentially gotten one as it was a nice incentive to make a purchase. That’s until the last couple of days when people, including me, started getting emails that the Iconic Easter Minifigure has exceeded LEGO’s expectations and were no long available and thus being cancelled from the order.
I have a feeling that this piece of news may upset a lot of people who were affected and were looking forward to getting the set. If you’re still looking for it, your local Toys R Us store might still have them in stock. The last time I checked at my store, they were up at guest services behind the counter but that may vary with your store. The item number is #648866.
Were any of you affected because of the cancellation?
Xbox Acheivements has posted some new achievements for the LEGO Marvel’s Avengers video game which reveals that there are more DLC packs coming for the game that includes The Masters of Evil, Classic Captain Marvel, All-New All-Different Doctor Strange, Classic Black Panther, and Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
There’s no word on when these new DLCs will be dropping or how much they’ll cost but Season Pass holders will be able to get them for free.
