LEGO news is just flying off the charts today. LEGO Ideas has just announced the results of the Third 2015 Review. There were two winners chosen and they are Beatles Yellow Submarine and the Apollo 11 Saturn V.
The Beatles Yellow Submarine is, of course, by The Beatles and this set will cater to the older generation who watched and listened to it. The best of all, we get official Beatles minifigures!
The Apollo 11 Saturn V will be another LEGO Ideas space set which should be pretty popular as well.
The Year 2 LEGO Dimensions Expansion Packs was just shortly announced but you can now pre-order some of them on Amazon. These packs will be released on September 27 and future packs will be released in waves like with the previous ones.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced their lineup for Year 2 of LEGO Dimensions. Some of the new franchises that will be making their LEGO debut include Sonic The Hedgehog, Adventure Time, The A-Team, Mission Impossible, E.T., The Goonies, Knight Rider, The Powerpuff Girls, Gremlins, Beetlejuice, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the new Ghostbusters team. Ahead of tomorrow’s LEGO Dimensions announcement of Series 2, Amazon Mexico has released images of a few of the expansion packs that will be included. These are just a few of a number of Fun Packs, Team Packs, Level Packs, and even a new Story Pack.

San Diego residents, it looks like we’ll be getting another LEGO Brand Store in the future as there is one listed as coming soon at Westfield UTC in La Jolla. This new store has been rumored for a few months and the other store we have is in Fashion Valley. There’s no details on when the store will be opening but I’ll definitely be there to get the freebies with any other store openings. The UTC location will cover people who live further North while the one in Fashion Valley will still be the preferred one for people in east and south San Diego. I’ll update when there are more details.
LEGO Dimensions has released another teaser video and this time it features Gollum with jumping at what appears to be the One Ring. Nothing too suspicious about that except the caption which says, “When it comes to rings, you don’t get in Gollum’s way. Unless you’re the new guy on the block! Find out who’s headed to Lego Dimensions this Thursday.”
If you rewatch the video, you can see the ring spin slowly similar to how the rings from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise spin. Coupled with the caption, this is hinting towards that Sonic the Hedgehog is confirmed the be part of LEGO Dimensions for Series 2. This was rumored before as expansion pack 71244. Just one more day until we see what LEGO Dimensions will be announcing!
After months of testing and tweaking, BrickLink has finally rolled out the new look and features for the site. The homepage as well as store pages have a new user interface with changes to the category viewer. Other changes include an updated search engine that allows you to find items easier.
