LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens C-3PO (5002948) Promo Now Live at Toys R Us

LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens C-3PO (5002948) Polybag

The LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens C-3PO (5002948) minifigure polybag promotion is now live at Toys R Us stores. You can get it free with purchases of $40 or more with any LEGO Star Wars purchase of $40 or more. If you have trouble finding it in stores, check with the cashier or at guest service as they might have them hidden behind the counter and give them the item number 169326.

I did a check at work to see how many are around San Diego and most stores have around 200 in stock. Depending on how nice the employees are at TRU, you may be able to purchase one separately for $3.99 each. If not, just wait until the promotion ends next week and they’ll just sell them regularly.

LEGO Ninjago The Cowler Dragon (30294) Available at Target

If you’re shopping at Target, you may want to know that the new LEGO Ninjago The Cowler Dragon (30294) polybag has showed up in the impulse section of checkout aisles. The 45 piece polybag includes Ghost Warrior Cowler as well as a mini dragon. The dragon itself is similar to the one in Cole’s Blaster Bike (70733) but with a slightly different design. This polybag was part of a promotion overseas but now they’ve started to show up in the States.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010) Series 14 Monsters Giveaway #2

Do I smell a giveaway in the near future?

It’s Halloween here in the US and that means I have another full set of Series 14 Monsters LEGO Collectible Minifigures (71010) to give away. This is the second set that I will be giving out with the last one by the end of the year.

If you’ve entered my contests before, you know that I’ll be using Rafflecopter to collect entries and the winner will be randomly chosen by the widget. The rules are the same so you don’t have to worry about that and I’ll let this contest run two weeks until November 14.

Thanks again to the LEGO CEE which is now called LEGO Community Engagement for sending a box in for me to share with my community. Good luck to everyone and stay safe while you’re out Trick or Treating tonight.

LEGO CUUSOO DeLorean Time Machine (21103) Giveaway Winner Announced

LEGO CUUSOO Back to the Future DeLorean Time Machine (21103)

A week ago, I did a giveaway for the LEGO CUUSOO DeLorean Time Machine (21103) because it was Back to the Future Day and after over 13,000 entries, the winner has been randomly chosen by the Rafflecopter widget. Without further ado, the winner is:

Julio Cespedes – Omaha, NE

I’ve already emailed the winner and they have a few days to respond or else I’ll have to reroll. Congratulations to Julio but do not worry as I’ll have another contest on Halloween. Wait that’s tomorrow! Yep, so stay tuned for that post.

Zero LEGO Ideas Projects Selected to Become Official Set

Today LEGO has announced the results of the First 2015 LEGO Ideas Review Stage and I believe for the first time ever, there was not a project that was selected to become an official LEGO Ideas sets. These projects include:

Science Adventures
The Discworld
Medieval Market Street
Disney Princess Frozen Elsa’s Ice Castle
Douglas DC-3
Bricksauria/Tyrannosaurus Rex
International Space Station
The Golden Girls Living Room and Kitchen Modular Set
Legend of Zelda: King of Red Lions Play Set
RMS Titanic
1969 Corvette
Small Yellow
Daft Punk

There are no specifics of why each project did not pass but some of the broader reasons stated include disagreements with the intellectual property rights, projects being too similar to existing products or future products, or projects being too large.

All is not lost though as they are still looking into the F7A Hornet – Star Citizen set. If you’re not familiar with Star Citizen, it is an upcoming space simulator video game that will be launching in 2016.

New LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens Polybags Found

Brickset has uncovered some new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens polybag that will probably be released in the near future. The first is the Finn (FN-2187) Stormtrooper minifigure polybag. The other polybag is Poe’s X-Wing Fighter (30278) which is a miniature version of the ship.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on how to get them yet but I have a feeling that Finn will be a LEGO promo of some sort and the X-Wing will probably be sold regularly at Target or Toys R Us. Notice there’s a code on the bottom left corner of the Finn polybag which means it could possibly be included with a new LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game. I’ll see what information I can find about these two polybags and will update when I can.
