To continue with the celebration of Back to the Future Day, I have the LEGO Dimensions Back to the Future Level Pack (71201) for review. It contains 94 pieces and retails for $29.99 which is the standard price for Level Packs. The contents of the box include two un-numbered bags and the instructions booklet.
Here’s something that’s making headlines today which was first reported over on by Brickset yesterday. If you want to give LEGO sets for Christmas as presents, you might want to purchase them now because there might be a shortage this coming holiday season. LEGO spokesman Roar Trangbaek notes:
“We will not be able to deliver all of the new orders coming from customers in the remainder of the year in some markets in Europe”
The report only mentions Europe at this time but who knows if this shortage will be affecting the States later this year. We have seen a little bit of this shortage mainly with the LEGO Jurassic World sets they have been out of stock on Shop@Home for a while and has had limited quantities in stores ever since the movie came out in June. Another example of a potential shortage may be the LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens
sets especially when the movie is released in December. I have a feeling these sets will be flying off the shelves starting Black Friday weekend and will probably be hard to get for a while.
Overall sales have grown by 18% in the first half of 2015 and it doesn’t look like it’s slowing down anytime soon. LEGO CFO John Goodwin notes:
“The high demand also puts a strain on our factories around the world.”

Today is Back to the Future Day and to celebrate the occasion, I’m giving away the 2013 LEGO CUUSOO DeLorean Time Machine (21103). The set was officially retired at the end of last year but was still available around the beginning of this year. It has since been off the shelves and only available on the secondary market like BrickLink and eBay but now you have an opportunity to win one. I had thought about skipping this post but a number of reader have messaged me wanting the details of the LEGO Ninjago Winter 2016 sets. Toys R Us Canada has posted a few of the sets online including the descriptions. As mentioned before, season six will revolve around Ninjas and Pirates which is evident in the details below.

Teefury has a new LEGO t-shirt today that is based on Matt Damon’s latest movie, The Martian. The shirt shows an astronaut growing some crops on what appears to be on Mars which had a similar scene in the movie. The shirt starts at $11 and comes in black, brown, and navy. There about 10 hours left to purchase the shirt if you want one.
LEGO has finally posted an official statement regarding the head swivel issue for the WALL·E (21303) set on the LEGO Ideas blog. It’s pretty much the same thing that was said on a customer’s email that I reported on yesterday. The only difference is that they’ve updated the stock availability to it being shipped in 30 days.
If you’ve already purchased WALL·E, contact Customer Service to get the updated parts when they’re available.
