Toys R Us Star Wars Force Friday LEGO Events Announced

We are one month away from Force Friday where major retailers will be releasing new products for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Toys R Us has given their gameplan for the event opening at midnight September 4th. Some of the LEGO-related things happening at TRU include having a chance for a LEGO Star Wars Commemorative Brick and an exclusive Star Wars poster, while supplies last. Additionally, all of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets will be available for purchase.

At the Times Square TRU location, there’s a special exhibition showing off some of the best-known Star Wars toys in the world that is curated by Rancho Obi-Wan, Inc. and part of that exhibition includes the 2003 LEGO Star Wars Cloud City (10123) being displayed.

On Thursday, September 3rd, there will be Star Wars activities throughout the day starting at 9am and it includes a LEGO Star Wars make and take event. There are special giveaways for the first fans in line that also includes the LEGO Star Wars Commemorative Brick.

LEGO Ideas Doctor Who and WALL•E Set Prices Revealed?

We might not know much information about the upcoming LEGO Ideas Doctor Who or WALL•E (21303) sets but Toys R Us may have given us the prices for the sets. Over on Reddit, someone has managed to snap a couple of pictures of the price tags for both sets for the upcoming store shelf resets. As you can see, the Doctor Who set will be $59.99 while the WALL•E set will be $49.99. We’ve already seen some images of WALL•E so we can kind of gauge how big it is compared to the Doctor Who set which is a little bit more expensive. Usually there’s no markup on the LEGO Ideas sets at TRU so I believe these will be the prices at the LEGO Stores and on Shop@Home.

LEGO Ideas LEGO Physics Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The LEGO Physics project by Christian Bechinie (kleinraum42) is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It consists of brick-built dominoes and a pretty elaborate marble run. Think of it as a LEGO Rube Goldberg machine. If you’ve seen one of these machines in person at a LEGO convention, you would be amazed and how much detail goes into creating one of them.

The project now joins the Brick-Built Adventure Time Figures, Caterham Super Seven, the Modular Library, and Lothlorien as the projects to reach the Second 2015 Review Stage.

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 14: Monsters (71010) Official Images

LEGO has revealed the official images of the Series 14 LEGO Collectible Minifigures: Monsters (71010) along with the descriptions of each character. They will be available starting September 1st.

Banshee

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 14: Monsters (71010) - Banshee

“I’ve got bad news, and more bad news…”

Poor Banshee. It’s not her fault that her job is to warn people about bad news in their future. And she does it very well, with all of the woeful weeping and wailing that you might expect from an ancient spirit of ill omen. But nobody likes to hear her tidings of misfortune, and so she finds herself unwelcome wherever where she goes.

It’s hard to make friends when you’re compelled to inform your fellow Minifigures that they’re going to stub their toes, or misplace their phones, or forget to water their plants. It’s not like the Banshee causes the problems herself; she’s just cursed with the ability to see that they’re going to happen. For some reason, though, everybody seems to blame her anyway. On the bright side, she’s recently become pen pals with the Sad Clown, who just loves getting bad news!

Fly Monster

LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 14: Monsters (71010) - Fly Monster

“Bzzz. Bzzz? Bzzz!”

Until very recently, the Fly Monster was a regular housefly. Now that he’s been mutated into a half-fly, half-Minifigure creature, he’s found himself a little bit confused. Part of the problem is that his mind is still pretty much that of a fly. The other part is that he doesn’t realize just how much larger he is than he used to be.

The Fly Monster is always running into … Continue

LEGO Scooby-Doo The Mystery Machine (75902) Review

LEGO Scooby-Doo The Mystery Machine (75902)

When rumors started last year that there would be a new LEGO Scooby-Doo theme, many fans were excited about it but some were also skeptical on how the sets would look like. That is until when the first images came out early this year and worries were relieved. All the sets were also available at San Diego Comic Con a few weeks ago to attendees and they quickly flew off the shelves. They are now officially available and the sets have become hard to find as many old-school Scooby-Doo fans as well as newer fans wanted a piece of the action.

LEGO Scooby-Doo The Mystery Machine (75902)

One of the sets I’ve managed to pick up is one of the most iconic vehicles in television history in my opinion, The Mystery Machine (75902). The set contains 263 pieces and retails for $29.99 which is a decent price for what you get. The contents of the box include three numbered bags, two instruction booklets, and one large sticker sheet.

LEGO Ideas WALL•E (21303) Reviewed by BrickInside

LEGO Ideas WALL•E (21303)

There hasn’t been much information about the new LEGO Ideas WALL•E (21303) since it was accidentally revealed back in June until now. Korean LEGO community BrickInside has somehow managed to acquire the set and has done an in-depth review on it, albeit in Korean. You can still translate the words but the most important things to look at are all the pictures the OP has provided. One thing that I got out of is that it says the release date was September 1 although Smyths had it listed as a December release so I’m not sure which one is correct until LEGO officially reveals it and provides the details. Below are some of the images of the LEGO Ideas WALL•E (21303) and there are a lot more in the link above.

Update: Sorry folks, looks like they jumped the gun on the review and have taken down the post.
