First Official Image of LEGO Jurassic World

LEGO Jurassic World

Jurassic Bricks (Hoth Bricks subsidy) has found the first official image of the LEGO Jurassic World sets from a LEGO catalog. From what the image shows, there are four dinosaurs represented: Tyrannosaurus Rex, Pteranodon and two different colored Velociraptors. We can also see the Owen (Chris Pratt) and Dr. Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) minifigures as well as two unidentified characters. Also some keen-eyed readers noticed that Wu is holding a piece of amber which is a moonstone piece from the LEGO Monster Fighter line.

As for the setting, this could be one of the six new sets that will be released in the line. The image also notes the sets will be released in June when the movie premieres in the US on June 12th. Also note that the dinosaurs depicted are the same ones that were leaked on TaoBao a few months ago.

Custom Green Lantern Mech by Superdad Keith

This is a little different post than the normal news because it’s been kind of slow the past couple of days. I received an email from a friend and local fan of the site named Keith, who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting a few times at the local LEGO Store, and in the email was an image of a wicked cool build that he has created.

Each year Keith creates custom LEGO builds for his son and for this year he has created a Green Lantern Mech. Obviously, this takes a lot of time but to see your son being overjoyed for something that is hard to achieve is priceless. Click on the image to see a larger view of it.

So to Keith who made this Green Lantern Mech, hats off to you sir for being an awesome dad. Hope to see you again at the LEGO Store.

Find LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle (41062) at Target Stores Using Brickseek

LEGO Disney Princess Elsa's Sparkling Ice Palace (41062)

Last week, we reported that the LEGO Disney Princess Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle (41062)icon have started to show up at various Target store locations. For those who are still looking for it for Christmas shopping, we have a little tool you can use to check if a certain Target store has them in stock or not. It’s called Brickseek and if you haven’t bookmarked it yet, you should.

Brickseek is a very simple tool and all you need to do is to enter your zip code and the DCPI number for a particular set. For example, Elsa’s Sparkling Ice Castle’s DCPI number is 086-14-2474 so you can enter that and your location to see if there are any sets available nearby. This may mean the set could be on the shelves or in the warehouse. If you can’t find it on the shelves, ask an associate and they can probably bring it out from the back. Keep in mind that the tool uses Target’s Inventory System which can sometimes be incorrect. It also provides you with the store address and phone number so you can call and double check before you head out.

Brickseek also shows if a certain set has gone through price changes or stock changes for various retailers like Amazon, Shop@Home, Toys R Us, Walmart and Target. Use it wisely to your advantage. Finally, sometimes the site is a little slow so you may have to refresh it a couple of times for it to work but when it does, it’s a pretty … Continue

LEGO Star Wars TIE Advanced Prototype Polybag (30275) Found

It looks like there’s another 2015 LEGO Star Wars polybag that is a smaller version of their counterpart that will also be released next year. Over on Brickset, there is an image of the TIE Advanced Prototype Polybag (30275) which has 47 pieces and is a slimmed down version of set 75082. The polybag was found at a Canadian Toys R Us. There’s no mention of it being part of a promotion or the price of it.

This is the second polybag to feature a mini version of the vehicle with the other one being the AT-DP Polybag (30274). It is based on set 75083 of the same name and is available for free with a purchase of any LEGO Star Wars product.
