LEGO Tim Burton 1989 Batmobile by Orion Pax

Builder extraordinaire Alex Jones (Orion Pax) is back at it again with another Batman related build. Last month, we featured his LEGO version of the 1966 Batmobile which was LED Lites scale. For this new version, which is also the same scale, he has created the 1989 Tim Burton’s Batmobile. This Batmobile was used in both Batman and Batman Returns played by Michael Keaton. The vehicle was also dubbed the Keaton-mobile since the car’s popularity has been attributed to the actor.

Being one of the most recognizable vehicles in movie history, Alex has recreated it with great detail. Don’t let the size full you as it is not regular minifigure scale. The LED Lites figures are much larger in a scale so the Batmobile is sized accordingly. Check out the full gallery here.

LEGO Club The LEGO Movie Police Mech Building Instructions

The LEGO Movie Police Mech

In the new Nov-Dec 2014 LEGO Club Magazine, I found another thing that is pretty fun and creative. By using parts from the The LEGO Movie Super Secret Police Dropship (70815) or from your existing parts, you can create the Super Secret Police Mech shown above.

On the LEGO Club website, they have provided free instructions for the Police Mech in PDF format. There are 321 LEGO pieces used to create one of these mechs. This is a cool addition to your Super Secret Police army if you are able to create one.

Orion Revealed for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - Orion

For today’s playable character reveal for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham, it has been announced that Orion will be in the game. If you’re not familiar with Orion, he is the second son of Darkseid and half-brother of Kalibak and Grayven. He was also briefly a member of the Justice League. Orion uses his Astro-Harness for interstellar flight and inter-dimensional travel.

It’s pretty cool that TT Games has included a lot of these lesser-known DC super heroes and villains in LEGO Batman 3. It gives people who play the game an opportunity to learn a little more about the characters.

LEGO Club Magazine - LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham

My new November-December 2014 copy of the LEGO Club magazine came in today and there’s actually some cool things in this one. There’s an insert for a preview for LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham. Inside, there are descriptions of some of the playable characters in the game as well as their in-game powers and abilities.

As a perk for being a LEGO Club Magazine member, we get to see some exclusive content and here we get a code to play as Planet X Batman, aka Batman of Zur-En-Arrh. At the code entering area of the game, enter ZWQPJD and you’ll unlock this version of Batman to use in the open world mode. This is the first of what will be many codes to unlock other characters in the game.
