LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109)

If you missed my tweet last night, the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109) is available on Amazon for $34.95 and it looks like the deal is still going on. You can purchase a maximum of two sets per order. Note that it may take an extra 1-2 days to process the order. If you’ve still been looking for the LEGO Ideas Exo Suit (21109), now’s your chance to get it since it’s still temporarily out of stock on Shop@Home.

Update: Right after this posted, Amazon has updated their status to “In stock on September 15, 2014.” You can still order but it’ll take a few days longer to get to you.

Update 2: Sorry, it’s sold out now. It’s back to the 3rd party prices.

LEGO Star Wars Microfighters 3-in-1 Super Packs at Costco

If you still haven’t picked up the first wave of the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters, you may want to check out Costco stores. They have two different 3-in-1 Super Packs available for $23.99 each. The first Super Pack (66514) includes the Clone Turbo Tank (75028), AAT (75029), and the Millennium Falcon (75030). The other Super Pack (66515) includes the TIE Interceptor (75031), X-Wing Fighter (75032), and the Star Destroyer (75033). By purchasing the LEGO Star Wars Microfighters 3-in-1 Super Packs, you can save about $12 off total of the LEGO retail price if you get both. Thanks to John for the email.

LEGO Ideas Labyrinth Marble Maze Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Labyrinth Marble Maze by Jason Allemann (JKBrickworks) is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project is based on the original BRIO Labyrinth game which was released back in 1946. If you’re an old man like me, you’ve probably have played it before.

The project itself is an interchangeable maze system which allows you to customize the maze to your liking. Jason has also designed a number of themed mazes as well so it gives you some variety in gameplay.

The Labyrinth Marble Maze now joins the Avengers Helicarrier in the third review stage of 2014. Congratulations to Jason for this achievement! The next highest supported project on LEGO Ideas is now The Goonies 30th Anniversary – The Inferno.

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batwing (30301) Polybag Review

LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batwing (30301) Polybag

A few days ago, we reported that the LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Batwing (30301) polybag was showing up at Target stores in the Halloween section. I was notified by my LEGO Store friend Nia who found them on the shelves so I took a little trip and lo and behold, they were there. The Batwing (30301) consists of 45 pieces and goes for $3.99 which is a very nice $0.09/piece considering it’s a licensed polybag.

Build

The design of the Batwing is very nice with a good selection of parts used to build it. Although it looks kind of flimsy, it is very sturdy. The Batman symbol on the front 2×2 curved slope would have been nice to have but it looks fine without it. One thing I didn’t like on the Batwing are the 1×8 gray plates on the bottom that holds the wings together. It just seems a little off to me and makes it look like a ski. To round it off, you also get two flick-fire missiles.

Results

Overall, the Batwing (30301) polybag is a good pickup if you can find it. It looks a little bit better than the Tumbler (30300) polybag from earlier this year. On a side note, you also can get the Batwing (30301) polybag when you purchase LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham at Target.

LEGO Ninjago Dareth Polybag

There is a new LEGO Ninjago polybag that has shown up at Toys R Us stores in the UK. There’s no name for the £4.99 polybag but the set number is 5002144 and it features “The Brown Ninja,” Dareth and a Nindroid.

Many LEGO Ninjago fans have been waiting for a Dareth minifigure for a long time and now we are finally able to get one. Hopefully we’ll get to see this polybag in the States in the future.

Say Hello to Toy Brick Co

Earlier this morning, I got an email from Laura who is introducing their new site, Toy Brick Co. The UK site specializes in mixed packs that adults can purchase for their children to start their collection. There are no instructions because they focus on the concept of “buy and build” which encourages kids to build with their imagination. The company started on eBay but have recently expanded to a full website. Although they are located in the UK, they do ship internationally.

A new “Buy and Build” website has launched in the UK selling new LEGO and reasonably priced used LEGO worldwide.

The Toy Brick Co offers a selection of new LEGO and genuine, excellent quality, used Lego, including mixed bags of bricks, starter kits, baseplate packs, door and window packs, tree and flower packs, minifig packs and gift packs.

All used Lego is quality checked, properly cleaned and sorted prior to being listed for sale.

The “Bags of new mixed LEGO bricks” have proven most popular and the site’s owners have been inundated with orders of their LEGO starter kits.

Visit www.thetoybrickco.com for more info on their ‘Buy & Build’ LEGO products.
