The LEGO Movie MetalBeard’s Sea Cow (70810) Confirmed For February Release

As we predicted, the exclusive set being sold early for LEGO VIP Members in February will be The LEGO Movie MetalBeard’s Sea Cow (70810). Hoth Bricks has a copy of the February calendar which shows an outline of the epic ship. The set will be sold early to VIP members starting February 17th until February 28th and to the general public right after. The Sea Cow contains 2741 pieces and will have five minifigures: Emmet, Wyldstyle, MetalBeard, Benny, and Vitruvious. Queasy Kitty will also make an appearance in the set. There’s no word on the pricing but my guess would be at least around $200.

More Details About The LEGO Movie Video Game

The LEGO Movie Video Game

The LEGO Video Game Blog has been updated by Louise Andrews with more information about The LEGO Movie Video Game. One major point Louise made is that everything in the game is made out of LEGO bricks. The game is designed to look just like the movie. Although everything is made of LEGO elements, not everything can be destroyed but there will be enough to keep you entertained. Another thing that is made from LEGO elements are the particle effects such as explosions, water splashes, lava, etc. The animation has been changed up from other LEGO games. The characters in The LEGO Movie video game moves just like the real minifigures in a more rigid way.

There are also a couple of new game features called Master Build and Instruction Build. When you play as a Master Builder, you can find various items from the level and use those pieces to create a brand-new object to use. Instruction Builds are pretty much what they are. They are instructions pages that you find in the levels and you can build them by putting the correct pieces on the model.

Check out all the new screenshots below as well as our coverage of The LEGO Movie video game from last year’s San Diego Comic Con which shows off some of the Instruction Builds.

The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop by Pepa Quin

Worst. Creation. Ever.

In celebration of The Simpsons House (71006) now being available, Matt De Lanoy, aka Pepa Quin, has created The Android’s Dungeon & Baseball Card Shop as his Iron Builder model using the white modified brick 2 x 3 x 2/3 with two studs. Owned by Jeff Alberson, aka Comic Book Guy, this build is a great representation of comic book shop from the cartoon. Matt has implemented some things from The Simpsons House including the Radioactive Man comic book and Bart and his skateboard. This is the total opposite of the Worst. Creation. Ever.
