Azumo Games Releases Full Version of LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack Game

Brick Fanatics is reporting that Amuzo Games has released the full monetized version of the LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack game on various mobile devices. As you may know, the game was released late last year and has amassed over 1 million downloads. With this newest update, you can now play the original City Streets and the Shopping Mall levels as well as new items to upgrade your Hero. If you’ve purchased Hero Factory sets, you can get Game Points which you can use to purchase in-game items. This new version of LEGO Hero Factory Brain Attack is now available on iTunes and will be available on Google Play on March 18th. Read the official press release below:

LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

USA Today has revealed the exclusive minifigure that will be included in the new LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles book by Daniel Lipkowitz. The minifigure included in the book will be a Special Forces Commander Clone Trooper. The book will retail for $18.99 and will be available this summer. For a limited time, Amazon is having a 43% discount on the book and you can pre-order it now for the price of $10.90. The Yoda Chronicles will be premiering on Cartoon Network on May 29th and there are also some short videos that have already started on starwars.lego.com.

Clark Kent Minifigure from Lego Batman: The Movie DC Superheroes Unite DVD

YourCreativeFriends has recently gotten their hands on the new Clark Kent minifigure from the LEGO Batman: The Movie DC Superheroes Unite Blu-Ray DVD. Here you can see that the Clark is in a blue suit that he wears to Metropolis. You can also see that he is wearing the classic Superman suit underneath. He has a single-sided head that shows him wearing glasses with a stern expression. The Blu-Ray DVD that he is included in will be released on May 21st and retails for $24.98.

The LEGO Group Becomes World’s Most Valuable Toy Manufacturer

According to Bloomberg, The LEGO Group has recently became the world’s most valuable toy manufacturer overtaking Mattel and has created three new billionaires in the process. Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen’s three children has a combined “37% economic interest in the company valued at more than $5.3 billion.” The company itself, which is valued $14.6 billion, saw an increase in their sales in 2012 reaching 23.4 billion Danish kroner ($4.04 billion).

Gerrick Johnson from BMO Capital states that LEGO is “the world’s biggest toymaker in terms of net income, operating income and Ebitda” with a 71% growth margin. I’m no economist but a 71% growth margin sounds pretty good. Johnson values the company to be at about $15 billion but could be worth at much as $17 billion if he had used the variables that was used to value Mattel.

With the strong push from 2012 to 2013, it doesn’t seem that LEGO will be slowing down anytime soon especially with some new themes such as The Lone Ranger releasing next month and the Man of Steel sets in the summer. As a fan, you can expect us to help with LEGO’s sales by purchasing the sets when they come out and hopefully The LEGO Group can keep it’s title of the world’s most valuable toy manufacturer.

The LEGO Group was in Austin, TX on March 11th and gave a presentation at SXSW Interactive 2013. TLG was represented by Tim Courtney, LEGO CUUSOO’s Community Manager, and Peter Espersen, LEGO’s Head of Online Community. They discussed the state of the LEGO Fan Community as well as LEGO and social crowdsourcing, aka CUUSOO. What everyone learned is that when you combine LEGO plus anything, it’ll probably be “Awesome!” and if someone has an idea, they could crowdsource with CUUSOO and hope there’s enough momentum to get the required amount of supporters, such as the Minecraft set which only took two days to achieve that goal. Sometimes an idea will have enough supporters but it doesn’t fit into LEGO’s strategy and will be rejected like The Winchester from Shaun of the Dead. Although there are ideas that make us want to purchase them, LEGO knows they cannot please everyone. They want ideas to be a win for the fans but also a win for the business. LEGO Iron Man Hall of Armor MOC

Reddit user, notmarctadeja, has created the first Iron Man Hall of Armor MOC that I’ve seen using the Iron Man minifigures from last year’s Marvel Super Heroes sets as well as the ones from the newly released Iron Man 3 sets. Although the Hall of Armor has to be small enough to fit the size of the minifigs, it has been very nicely done by the creator using various elements including transparent window pieces.

Future LEGO CUUSOO Projects by Team BTTF

With the success of the DeLorean Time Machine project on LEGO CUUSOO, the recently submitted Jules Verne Train, which was the top supported project last week, and some other ongoing projects, Team BTTF have been on a roll lately. This morning, I received an email from Masashi Togami and Team BTTF has some exciting news to bring you. Starting next month, they will be continuing releasing more LEGO sets from the Back to the Future series and will be publishing new projects on CUUSOO for four consecutive months. We’re predicting that the DeLorean Time Machine will be a huge hit, not just from LEGO fans but Back to the Future fans as well. If the future projects are also successfully supported and pass the review stages, we could potentially have a whole line of BTTF sets to display. We’re definitely looking forward to seeing what these future sets look like from Team BTTF!
