LEGO Has Some Secrets To Reveal Today

Today in New York, The LEGO Group is having a event to celebrate the premiere of LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles next week Wednesday on Cartoon Network. They will be unveiling the world’s largest LEGO model and s you can see from the image above, it will be pretty big. The “set” called the Secret Model Indestructable Box contains 5,335,200 pieces and weighs 45,980 lbs. Once unveiled to the public, the model will be on display until May 25th so if you’re in Times Square, you can go take a look at it too. Last week, LEGO sent out a promotional set to the media to promote the animated series as well.

LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite Now Available

Tuesday is new movie release day and today, the LEGO Batman: The Movie – DC Super Heroes Unite for Blu-Ray and DVD are now available on Amazon. Remember, there is a Clark Kent/Superman minifigure included with both versions of the movie. If you’ve played the LEGO Batman 2 video game, you will find that the movie is just a collection of the cutscenes from the game. Currently, the price for the Blu-Ray/DVD/UltraViolet Combo Pack is $13.99 and the regular DVD version is $9.99. The minifigure alone is probably worth the price of the DVD and plus you get a “movie” with some special features such as the “Building Batman” featurette, 3 bonus cartoons from the DC Comics Vault, a LEGO Batman stop-motion short, and winning shorts from the LEGO DC Universe Super Heroes Video Contest.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack (76007) Review

In the final review of the LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man sets, we have the Malibu Mansion Attack (76007). This set has 364 pieces and retails for $39.99, which is about $0.11/piece. The box contains three numbered bags, two instruction booklets, a sticker sheet, and a small comic book. Be warned, there may be some movie spoilers in this review so if you haven’t seen the movie yet, read at your own risk. You have been warned.

Brick Fanatics is reporting that the LEGO Lord of the Rings Tower of Orthanc (10237) will have an early release date for LEGO VIP members. Registered VIP members will be able to purchase the set on June 17th at LEGO brand stores as well as on Shop@Home. The official release of the Tower will be on July 1st. LEGO Star Wars: The Yoda Chronicles Promotional Set

Game Informer has recently received a promotional LEGO Star Wars set to promote The Yoda Chronicles animated series that will be premiering on Cartoon Network on Wednesday, May 29th. There is also a “huge” LEGO Star Wars event on Thursday, May 23rd at 11am in New York’s Times Square. LEGO will be unveiling the “world’s largest LEGO model.” We’re curious to see what this model could be, maybe a giant Yoda?

The promotional set contains 408 pieces that are in three numbered bags. There are two minifigures included in the set: Yoda and a female Padawan. There is also a droid. The set itself appears to be the archives of the Jedi Temple. Check out YourCreativeFriends review of the set below.

LEGO Castle Minisite Coming in June

As you can see from the image above, there will be a new LEGO Castle minisite coming next month. Right now, you can play a Castle minigame if you go to the temporary site. The object of the game is to collect gems, coins, fruits, and other items to earn higher points and to avoid hazards like sword-wielding enemies, rocks, and falling trees.
