LEGO The Hobbit Set Poster

Sometimes_snarky on Reddit posted a picture of a poster for the new LEGO The Hobbit sets from Toys R Us. Not sure yet of how the user got a hold of it yet. More details as they come.

**Update 1:** According to the user, “I had found all the bags to an open Republic Frigate set (7964) they thought they had lost. I jokingly asked if I got a prize or something. She gave me the poster and an additional 10% off the open box price.”

What I’m thinking is that Toys R Us will be giving them away with a purchase in the near future promotion. I haven’t heard anything about that yet.

**Update 3:** I went to Toys R Us today to see if there was any information regarding the poster but the employees there didn’t seem to know about it. I looked behind the checkout counter to see if there was evidence of a giveaway but did not see anything to suggest that. LEGO DC Universe Batman: Arkham Asylum Breakout (10937) Revealed

Back at San Diego Comic Con 2012, LEGO displayed some minifigures of next year’s LEGO Super Heroes sets. Today, LEGO revealed the one of the first sets that will be coming out in January 2013, the LEGO DC Universe Batman: Arkham Asylum Breakout (10937). At 1351 pieces, this will be the biggest LEGO Super Heroes set so far. Most of the main villains will be included, minus Mr. Freeze and Bane, which is pretty sweet considering they get locked up at Arkham all the time. Below is the official press release:

LEGO Ninjago 2013 Set Descriptions

Eurobricks member Aanchir, has found that LEGO Leaks has posted descriptions of the LEGO Ninjago 2013 sets translated from Japanese with Google:

LEGO Ninjago Kai’s Fire Robot (70500) – To get the four legendary blades fire, Lightning, ice, earth, ninjas must awaken the mystery of the golden robot! Lord Garmadon pushes a scouting party, and is trying to take the Fire blade from Kai, but Kai is expecting him! You can create the battle between the crossbow scout and Kai’s Fire Robot. Begin the battle for the Fire Blade!

LEGO The Legend of Zelda Hylian Shield MOC

If you’re a fan of The Legend of Zelda series, then you’ve probably know what this is. Remi Gagne (Bolt of Blue) has created the Hylian Shield from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. If you remember, Remi was part of the OneLUG team that created the The Last March of the Ents. The masterpiece was posted on Reddit this morning and had a very positive response. Remi notes that all the pieces cost around $1500 and “maybe 3 or 4 months of spare time” to build. The Hylian Shield will be displayed at Brickcon 2012 this weekend or at DesignerCon in November so you can see it in person.

New York Comic Con 2012 LEGO Exclusive Revealed

New York Comic Con on their Instagram account has revealed the exclusive that will be sold at the LEGO booth this year. This year, LEGO will feature a mini version of Luke’s Landspeeder. The tin will probably be priced at $40 like the Slave I and Sith Infiltrator at other conventions. NYCC 2012 will be held from October 11-14.

This LEGO® set, the third in a series, was produced exclusively for the 2012 New York Comic Con. Featuring a Luke Skywalker Minifigure and his buildable landspeeder, the set is packaged in an exclusive collector’s tin. Each tin in this limited run of 1,000 sets is individually numbered. Limited quantities will be available each day for sale through the course of #NYCC, on a first come, first served basis
