The LEGO Botanical Collection has been pretty popular so far and they are now on backorder status and out of stock on the LEGO Shop but Target and Walmart has them in stock at retail price. It’s good there are alternatives for shoppers but the downside is that you won’t get any VIP points or qualify for the Vintage Car promo.

2020 was a challenging year for everyone around the world but we’ve managed to continue grinding it out here on The Brick Fan. Today is one of my favorite times of the year as we can take a look at some of the stats for the site and how it compares to the previous years.
Since a majority of the world was under lockdown for a few months, people had a lot of time to go online. This means more time to read LEGO fan sites for news and updates as well as reviews and such. We ended the year at 25,803,380 pageviews which is up 13.5% from 2019. This also resulted in an increase of unique views and first time visitors as well.
There were 1,025 posts which was the most number of posts in a year for the site. The highest traffic day was on November 23 in which a combination of posts contributed to it including the reveal of the the LEGO Botanical Collection, and LEGO Star Wars sets as well as the December Store Calendar.
On social media, our counts are still slowly going up which you can see below:
Facebook – 18,672 likes/21,603 followers (16.4% increase)
Twitter – 10,824 followers (12.9% increase)
Instagram – 16.420 (7.3% increase)
Reddit – 538 readers (28.5% increase)

Amazon UK has revealed a first look of the upcoming LEGO Ideas Medieval Blacksmith (21325) on the Shop by Theme page. As you can see from the image above, the set still looks really good but it is changed quite drastically from the original project by Namirob. We’ve already reported that the set will be released in February and will be priced between $100-$180. If I were to guess the price by looking at the set now, it’ll probably be right in the middle.

The product page for the upcoming LEGO Ideas Vintage Car (40448) is now live on the LEGO Shop and we can now see high quality images of the set. You’ll be able to get it free starting tomorrow with purchases of $85 or more until the end of the month or while supplies last. The set has 189 pieces and the design was from the LEGO Ideas vintage car building contest from last year.
Yesterday, LEGO officially announced the new Botanical Collection and they have also released the designer videos for the Flower Bouquet (10280) and Bonsai Tree (10281). Apprentice Astrid and LEGO Designers Anderson Grubb, Nico Vas, and Carl Merriam talk about how the sets came to be and the details in each one. Both sets will be available starting tomorrow for $49.99 each.
The January 2021 LEGO Store Calendar is now available and we can see some of the promotions & events that will be happening during the month. January is a big month as there are a ton of new LEGO sets that will be launching as well as some big promotional items that you can get as well.
