LEGO Star Wars 2021 Rumored Set Details

It’s about that time when new rumors for the LEGO 2021 sets are coming out and it looks like there’s information about the LEGO Star Wars 2021 sets. First off, the report that the Battle Packs will be gone next year seem to be true as there is no information about any new ones coming out. Next up, it is said that some of the regular system scale ships will be shrunk down into in scale to be more affordable but at the expense of some details.

LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) Minifigures Review

The LEGO Star Wars Mos Eisley Cantina (75290) releases in a few days but we have a chance to get an early look at it. Since there are a whopping 21 minifigures in the set, I’ll be splitting up the review for the minifigures themselves and the build. It has been a while since we had a LEGO set that contains so many minifigures but is it a good selection? I’ll be going through them as they appear in the instructions.

LEGO DC FanDome Supergirl Minifigure Sweepstakes Didn’t Happen?

It’s been a couple of weeks since the first DC FanDome event was held online and there were some sweepstakes that were held including one for the LEGO DC Supergirl minifigure. As of this post, I haven’t seen one announcement for the drawing or any potential winners on social media saying they won. The official rules state that the drawing would occur within approximately five business days after the drawing entry period which ended on August 23. It has already been 15 business days since and not a peep from anyone. Was this a scam and people wasted most of their time trying to enter the contest?

Potential winner(s) for each Drawing will be selected in a random drawing by Sponsor’s designated representative from among all eligible entries received for the applicable Drawing during the applicable Drawing Entry Period. The drawings will occur within approximately five (5) business days after the end of the applicable Drawing Entry Period. Decisions of the Sponsor are final on all matters relating to each Drawing and the Campaign, including interpretation of these Official Rules, determination of the winners, and awarding of the prizes.

LEGO Monkie Kid Season One Completed

It has been announced by LEGO Monkie Kid producer Vicky Kjaer Jensen that season one of the show is now complete. There’s still no word yet on when it will air here in the US but you can still find the first two episodes on YouTube. It’s a pretty interesting show and the animation studio is Flying Bark Productions which is the same one that did Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I assume it’ll be airing on Cartoon Network since all the LEGO shows are on there.

LEGO Star Wars Yoda’s Lightsaber (5006290) Reported to be Upcoming GWP

StoneWars is reporting that we could be getting the LEGO Star Wars Yoda’s Lightsaber (5006290) which is rumored to be a gift with purchase item when you buy the upcoming Mos Eisley Cantina (75290). It is said to have 140 pieces and it is a recreation of the lightsaber hilt along with a display stand. It is not known whether it will be available starting on September 16 when VIPs can start buying the Cantina or on October 1 when it is available to the general public. I’ll update when those details are revealed.

**Note the image above is just a rendering of what the lightsaber could look like.**

For those who missed out last year, the LEGO Seasonal Year of the Pig (40186) is now available for purchase on Shop@Home. This was a GWP last year in January for the Chinese Year of the Pig holiday where you had to buy $88 to get it. The set has 153 pieces and you can get it for $9.99 with a limit of 50. These seasonal sets have become a a yearly thing to celebrate the Lunar New Year and are pretty popular in the LEGO community. Thanks to Tim for the heads up.

LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Obi-Wan Kenobi (30624) Available on Shop@Home

The LEGO Star Wars 20th Anniversary Obi-Wan Kenobi (30624) polybag is now available for purchase on LEGO Shop@Home. It costs $3.99 and there is a purchase limit of 50. This polybag was a gift-with-purchase item back in 2019 but it seems that you can just buy it outright now. Anyways, this version of Obi-Wan Kenobi is pays homage to the 1999 version. Thanks to CM for the heads up.
