New LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Key Art Revealed

It’s Star Wars Day and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment along with TT Games has shared a new piece of key art for the upcoming LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. There’s no details on when the game will be released but the blurb does say more details will be coming this summer. E3 has already been cancelled but companies may very well do their reveals online so that could also happen with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Encapsulating the game’s epic blend of the three Star Wars trilogies, the key art includes some of the greatest heroes and villains seen throughout the Skywalker saga. Players can fight against the forces of evil as favorite characters such as Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Rey, Finn, BB-8 and a legion of other heroes, or turn to the dark side as Darth Vader, Kylo Ren, and more.

Thrilling locales also serve as a backdrop to the action-packed key art as players can engage in some of the films’ most legendary battles. From the landmark start to the Clone Wars in the Battle of Geonosis to manning an Alliance snowspeeder at the Battle of Hoth to take on the Imperial’s treacherous ground forces, generations of Star Wars lore and fandom will collide in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

More information on LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will come this summer.

LEGO Creator Summer 2020 Pirate Ship (31109) High Quality Set Images

One of my favorite summer 2020 sets we’ve seen so far is the LEGO Creator Pirate Ship (31109). There are now some high quality images from kostickylega.cz showing off all three builds in the upcoming 3-in-1 set. The main build of the 1,264 piece set is the pirate ship itself and the other builds include a reimagining of Skull Island as well as a tavern. This set will definitely go great with the LEGO Ideas Pirates of Barracuda Bay (21322) and I can see fans buying multiples of this set to have all three builds at the same time.

How LEGO is Helping Families Affected by COVID-19 Around the World

Earlier this year, LEGO announced some initiatives to help children and families during the COVID-19 pandemic. A few days ago, they released a press release showing what the company has been doing for those affected around the world.

How we’re helping families impacted by COVID-19

Our commitment to ensuring we reach crisis-affected children with learning through play support and vital supplies.

With 90% of the world’s student population currently out of school, and millions of families facing financial, job or medical insecurity, the global impact of COVID-19 on children’s wellbeing and development is unprecedented.

We’ve been inspired and humbled by the work that thousands of amazing charities, NGOs and not-for-profit organisations are doing to provide essential services to families during this time – whether that be ensuring children continue to have access to education, or helping the youngest members of our communities feel safe, valued and supported.

But in many cases, these organisations are facing an unparalleled demand for their services.

That’s why we’ve joined forces with the LEGO Foundation, pledging US $50m to support children impacted by COVID-19. Part of the funding will go to new and existing partners in our local communities to help them reach crisis-affected children with vital supplies and opportunities to learn through play to support their well-being and the development of essential life skills.

Here are just few examples of the many ways these incredible organisations support children day-after-day.

LEGO Ideas Earth Globe Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Earth Globe by Disneybrick55 is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. It replicates a globe that you normally would see in an educational setting and it uses 2,060 pieces to build it. I believe this is the first project to reach the Second 2020 Review Stage since it is the beginning of a new month but it is currently listed with the ones from the First 2020 Review Stage so we’ll see which one it is on.
