LEGO Ideas Music Building Contest Plus Chance to Become Official Set

LEGO has kicked off a new music related contest on LEGO Ideas in which you can win some great prizes as well as a chance for the build to become an official LEGO set. They want you to show off your love of music using LEGO bricks and it can be anything related to the genre.

What’s interesting about this contest is that there is a chance that one of those entries could become a set if it impresses the LEGO Ideas Review Board enough. The process goes as shown below.

The top ten entries will be judged by the fans and winners will be announced accordingly for some great prizes.

•21313 Ship in a Bottle
•21311 Voltron

•Credit and bio in set materials as the LEGO Ideas Fan Designer

You’ll have until April 20 at 6am EST to submit your entries to the contest page.

LEGO Super Mario Theme Coming Soon

In some very unexpected news, LEGO has teased on social media they will be releasing LEGO Super Mario in the near future. In the video, it shows Mario in a weird minifigure form with a screen on his chest. Now that LEGO has the Nintendo license, maybe we can finally see some other franchises that fans have been waiting for like The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon. Stay tuned for more LEGO Super Mario news as it happens.

Final Black Widow Trailer Released

The final trailer for Black Widow was released yesterday and it shows a bit more of the story, more specifically, the family dynamics of Natasha Romanoff and Yelena Belova. It also shows a little bit of the helicopter which is featured in the Black Widow’s Helicopter Chase (76162) that is now available for purchase. It includes minifigures of Black Widow, Yelena Belova, and Taskmaster but too bad there’s no minifigure of Red Guardian at this time. Black Widow will be in theaters on May 1.

LEGO Technic Top Gear Teaser Turns Out to be Already Released Rally Car (42109)

A few days ago, LEGO did a teaser on Facebook of something The Stig from Top Gear was working on at the LEGO HQ but unfortunately, LEGO themselves were very slow on their reveals as it was for something that has been available for a few months already. If you watched the video, it was for the LEGO Technic App-Controlled Top Gear Rally Car (42109) and I’m not sure why LEGO decided to run this video now instead of last year when it was announced back in November. Sorry to have gotten your hopes up for something that I thought was for an upcoming set like the Fast & Furious set or the Lamborghini set.
