Yesterday, we got a first look at a new LEGO Seasonal Halloween Hayride (40423) set and it looks like there’s another Halloween set to look forward to. LEGO Shop@Home has listed the Pumpkin & Bat Duo (854049) box set that has 131 pieces and retails for $9.99. It features a buildable bat and pumpkin which you can use to hang as decorations. It will also be released on August 1.

It looks like LEGO is going all in on the LEGO Monkie Kid theme as there’s a product listing for a BrickHeadz Monkie Kid (40381). There’s no images of the set yet but we do know that it has 175 pieces.

LEGO has uploaded a brand new LEGO Seasonal set to Shop@Home with the Halloween Hayride (40423). It has 148 pieces and will retail for $12.99. This set will feature the return of small vignette sets in lieu of the character sets which they were alternated yearly with. It has a vintage tractor with a hay cart and a little entrance arch. The set also has two minifigures and a skeleton. The Halloween Hayride will be available on August 1.

LEGO Walmart Rollback Sales – July 2020

Walmart currently has a rollback sale going on for various LEGO sets with some sales that are up to 40% off. The most notable set is the LEGO Boost Droid Commander (75253) coming in at $149.99 which is 25% off and this set doesn’t go on sale very often. Other sets come from LEGO Marvel Super Heroes, LEGO Hidden Side, and LEGO Harry Potter, just to name a few.

LEGO Art Sets Officially Announced

LEGO has officially announced their newest line called LEGO Art. These new sets are in the pop art style and fans can “build” various people and characters into arts of work that you can either lean against a surface or hang them on the wall. There’s even a couple of them that you can combine sets (sold separately) to make a large canvas. In addition, each set also comes with a companion soundtrack that you can listen to while building. I’ve been told that these sets will be intended to be an ongoing evergreen theme.

Each set will retail for $119.99 and the Iron Man one will be available starting on August 1 while the others will be available on September 1. Check out the press release and more images of the sets below.

LEGO Pausing Social Media Paid Advertising

LEGO has released a statement regarding paid advertising on social media platforms. They did not outright state that is is in response to supporting the Facebook boycott from large brands but they do emphasize that they do want to have a positive, inclusive digital environment free from hate speech, discrimination and misinformation.

We are committed to having a positive impact on children and the world they will inherit.
That includes contributing to a positive, inclusive digital environment free from hate speech, discrimination and misinformation.
We will take immediate steps to carefully review the standards we apply to advertising and engagement on global social media platforms. While we do that, we will pause all paid advertising on global social media platforms for at least 30 days.
We will not change our media investment during this period and instead, invest in other channels.
We will work to collaborate with our partners and take whatever steps are necessary to create a more trusted digital world for people today and future generations. We are confident solutions exist but urgent action is needed.
