LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary New Edition Exclusive Minifigure Revealed

Amazon has updated their listing for the LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary: New Edition to show an image of the exclusive minifigure that will be coming with it. The image now shows Finn in a Bacta Suit which is seen in Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. This version of Finn is not in any set so completionists will want to get this book for the minifig, unless you just get it by itself on the secondary market. LEGO Star Wars Visual Dictionary: New Edition is slated to come out this April but you can pre-order it now at a 33% discount.

Chris McVeigh Joins the LEGO Creator Expert and Architecture Teams

Even though it’s still early morning, here’s your LEGO feel good story of the day. If you’ve been in the LEGO community on social media the past few years, you may have heard the name Chris McVeigh, aka PowerPig, float around. One of his most popular builds are the Brick Sketches of various characters that have been featured by LEGO before. Yesterday, he has announced that he has been hired on to the LEGO Creator Expert and Architecture teams and will begin work starting in March. This just goes to show that LEGO still continues to take notice of fan creations and you have a chance to get hired on if you work hard enough. I can’t wait to see what Chris has in store for us in the near future.

The 2019 New York Toy Fair is still going on but as far as the LEGO stuff is concerned, they only had a limited amount of things displayed. The main thing was the new LEGO Hidden Side theme that will be coming out later this year. If you didn’t know, LEGO Hidden Side uses an augmented reality system to bring the bricks to life. The boxes of the sets were on display but they do have the confidential watermark on them and that’s why I’ve elected not to post them. I would like to extend a thank you to Dan for helping us out on getting these images.

LEGO Ideas Second 2018 Review Winners Announced

LEGO has just announced the winners of the LEGO Ideas Second 2018 Review. That’s right, there are two winners in this round and they are Steamboat Willie by sxabomate90 and The Central Perk Coffee of Friends by Mric76. Both sets are expected to launch this year but LEGO is still working on the final product design and price point. Congratulations to both of the winners!

The LEGO Movie 2 Target Blu-Ray Exclusive

The LEGO Movie 2 is still only in their second week in theaters but Target is already taking pre-orders for a Target exclusive Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital combo pack. It retails for $27.99 and the product description states there’s an exclusive LEGO mini-set and collectible packaging included as well. I’m not sure what the set could be but I’ll give an update when that information is available.
