As we get closer to the release of The LEGO Movie 2 sets, more products have been showing up online including some new polybags. One of which is the Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528) polybag that is already showing up at Walmart. There’s another polybag that has shown up called Star-Stuck Emmet (30620). The details on it has been sparce it depicts Emmet saving a star between a door. I’ll report on its availability when I get the info.

LEGO Star Wars Days Cancelled at LEGOLAND

Star Wars Days

One of the more popular events that is held during the spring time at LEGOLAND California and around the world is LEGO Star Wars Days. Fans from all over come to see some new cool LEGO Star Wars builds including some from local LUGs. In recent days, there were rumors that next year’s event would be cancelled and it looks like that has been confirmed. Rebelscum has gotten in touch with with Lucasfilm and they have said that this past year would be the last to do the event. Also someone at Disney stated,

The motivation was to refocus expenditure and limit Star Wars exposure to reset the franchise and allow fans to heal.

I’ve also heard another reason for Star Wars Days being cancelled is to shift focus to The LEGO Movie 2. There’s still a chance that LEGO Star Wars Days could return down the line but in the future, it’s done for.

LEGO Ideas Queen Victoria Cruise Ship Achieves 10,000 Supporters

The Queen Victoria Cruise Ship by FlagsNZ is the latest project to achieve 10,000 supporters on LEGO Ideas. The project recreates the Cunard luxury cruise liner with 2061 pieces and it is a 1:565 scale of the real life ship. The project now joins the Dinosaurs Fossils Skeletons – Natural History Collection, Chemical Plant, and Food Stand Diners as the projects to reach the Third 2018 Review Stage.

LEGO Overwatch Ganymede Play Event Revealed

LEGO Overwatch Play Event Ganymede

January 1 marks the release of the LEGO Overwatch sets and to celebrate, LEGO will be holding a LEGO Overwatch Play Event on January 23. Today, they have revealed what the event will consist of which will be a spray hunt event in stores. There will be sprays hidden throughout the store and you’ll have to find them and show your checklist to get Ganymede to build and take home. Signups start on January 1 and builders must be between ages 6-14. Check out more details below. Thanks to Noah for the heads up!

Some of your favorite Overwatch heroes have been protecting the LEGO® Store and have left their sprays behind. We need your help to search throughout the store to figure out which characters have been here!

Find the sprays and mark each one you find, then show your checklist to a Brick Specialist and build and take home your own FREE Ganymede model!

Event takes place in stores January 23, 2019. To participate, you must sign up in stores beginning January 1, 2019. Builders must be between the ages of 6-14 to participate.

LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle (21313) Amazon Sale

The LEGO Ideas Ship in a Bottle (21313) has been fluctuating in sales the last few days with it being at its lowest price point at $55.99. This is 20% off the retail price of $69.99. This was one of the sets that I ranked one of the top 10 LEGO sets of 2018 and it’s even better with the discounted price. According to Amazon, it won’t be in stock until December 20 and will be arriving after Christmas.

New LEGO Minifigures Mobile Game Coming in 2019

Here’s an interesting piece of news that came out in the last few days regarding a new LEGO mobile game coming in 2019. The LEGO Group has teamed up with mobile game developer Gameloft to produce a new mobile game that features LEGO Minifigures. Some of the characters included with be the Red Classic Spaceman, Captain Red Beard, and Hot Dog Suit Guy. There’s no details on what this new LEGO Minifigure mobile game will be about as details for it will be revealed in the near future. Check out the press release below.
