Did LEGO Tease Another McLaren Set?

LEGO Speed Champions McLaren

A few days ago, LEGO teased an image of the upcoming 2019 LEGO Speed Champions McLaren Senna but camouflaged. They could either be teasing that particular set or could there be more to this image?

As we know by know, LEGO has partnered up with various car manufacturers to produce sets for the Speed Champions as well as Technic. This includes the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (42056) from 2016 and the Bugatti Chiron (42083) from earlier this year but what will the 2019 supercar be?

I’ve heard an unsubstantiated rumor that next year’s LEGO Technic supercar could be a McLaren but at this point, that’s all that is right now. If you remember back in January, LEGO revealed that the Bugatti Chiron would be released later in the year and will LEGO do the same thing next month? All keep in mind that the Nuremberg Toy Fair will be held at the end of January as well and that’s where we got the first information about the Bugatti. Stay tuned for more details as they happen.

LEGOLAND California is turning 20 years old next year and to celebrate, they are offering free admission to children 12 and under on their birthday.

“It’s a year of celebration here at Legoland California Resort,” General Manager Peter Ronchetti said. “2019 is our 20th birthday and we’re proud to announce that all year in 2019, children of 12 and under will come in free on their birthday.”

According to the offer details, parents or guardians must present proof of birth date upon arrival to the ticketing booth or Guest Services. Valid forms of identification include an original birth certificate (photocopies not accepted), passport, or government issued ID. Only children ages 3-12 will get free admission to the park. Children 2 and under always gets in free any time.

LEGOLAND California also recognizes that some children’s birthdays may fall on a day when the park is closed. There are two options for this which include the birthday child receiving free admission to the SEA LIFE aquarium on their birthday or they receive free admission on the closest LEGOLAND California operating day.

The offer is valid starting January 1 until December 31, 2019.

LEGO Seasonal 2019 Year of the Pig (40186) Revealed

LEGO Seasonal Year of the Pig (40186)

In the past few years, LEGO has been releasing some small sets to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year with the zodiac animal sets and the 2019 Year of the Pig (40186) has been revealed. Originally they have been exclusive to the Asian markets but last year, LEGO made it more accessable to the Western countries and were available in stores and on Shop@Home. Hopefully LEGO decides to do that again and I assume this set will be available in mid-to-late January/early February since Chinese Year Year will be on February 5.

The LEGO Movie 2 Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528) Polybag Found at Walmart

The LEGO Movie 2 Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528)

The LEGO Movie 2 sets are set to be released at the end of the month but there’s a new polybag that has started to show up at Walmart. The Mini Master-Building MetalBeard (30528) has 42 pieces and it features MetalBeard in a 3-in-1 set. The models include a mini version of his crab mech, a larger version is also in the Battle-Ready Batman and MetalBeard (70836), and two other wacky builds that may or may not be seen in the movie. There’s no mention of pricing but I assume it’ll be $3.97 like with all the other polybags and it’ll be located in the LEGO aisle.
