If you’ve been holding off on getting the LEGO Star Wars UCS Snowspeeder (75144), Walmart, of all places, currently has it on sale for 20% off and it is going for $159.95. If you’ve been collecting the UCS set, you would know that UCS sets usually don’t go on sale on LEGO Shop@Home so getting any kind of discount on it is a good deal. Even with the Double VIP Points promotion going on Shop@Home right now, the 20% discount is still the better deal and an even greater one for a pretty awesome set. LEGO James Bond Aston Martin Leicester Event

LEGO has finally revealed a set date for possibly the reveal of the rumored LEGO James Bond Aston Martin DB5 set. According to a Facebook event at the Leicester Square LEGO Brand Store, there is a top secret event being held on July 18 at 10:07am UTC. I’m going to guess that date will indeed be the reveal of the set and could be available for purchase as well since there is a VIP Early Access from July 18-31. If you don’t know about the LEGO Aston Martin DB5, LEGO along with Aston Martin and James Bond’s social media feeds has been doing teasers for the set for the past few weeks.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Express (75955) Now Available on Shop@Home

Yesterday was the release of the LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets here in the US but due to a glitch in the system, the Hogwarts Express (75955) set was not available for purchase. The good news is that it is now up for purchase on Shop@Home so if you missed it, you can now get it. The Double VIP Points promotion is still going so if you were planning on getting it anyways, double points is a good incentive. All of the other sets besides the BrickHeadz are on backorder but you can still order them and they will ship by July 16. Sets on backorder usually ship before the date listed.

LEGO Releases James Bond Spectre Aston Martin Teaser

LEGO has released another teaser for the LEGO James Bond Aston Martin set which contains another quote from a movie. This time they have the following quotes:

Oh, yes. That old thing is taking quite a bit of time. Mind you, there wasn’t much left to work, only a steering wheel.

I believe I said bring it back in one piece, not bring back one piece.

Both quotes were from the 2015 James Bond movie, Spectre, starring Daniel Craig. As we know by now, LEGO will be releasing some kind of set and most believe will indeed be the Aston Martin DB5 as the next LEGO Creator set. Adding on to the news, the August 2018 LEGO Store Calendar is now out and it is possible that it could be released for Early Access on August 15 however it could also be the one for July 18-31 slot because the LEGO Ideas Voltron (21311) is slated for July 23.

LEGO August 2018 Store Calendar Promotions & Events

It’s a new month and that means the new August 2018 LEGO Store Calendar is now available to show the promotions and events for the month. I’ll upload higher quality images once it goes live online.

August 1-14: Free LEGO Plants set with purchases of $35 or more, while supplies last. These are the first LEGO elements made from plants in an initiative that launched earlier this year.

August 1-12: Free LEGO Unikitty Castle Room (5005239) with purchases of $25 or more, while supplies last.

August 1-31: VIPs get Double VIP Points on Newt’s Case of Magical Creatures (75952) and Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953).

August 7-8: VIP Monthly Mini Model Build is a Snail. Registration starts on July 15.

August 15-31: VIPs get Early Access to a new exclusive LEGO set. No word on what this set is but it’s possible that it’s the teased LEGO James Bond Aston Martin set.

August 18 & 25: LEGO Life Meeting

August 20: Minifigure Swap Monday

August 22: Build and Take Toucan model. Registration starts on August 1.

LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary Exclusive Yellow Lantern Batman Minifigure

Way back in February, we got our first look at the upcoming LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary that will be released in September. Of course, a majority of the DK books will include an exclusive minifigure and we now know who that character is thanks to Amazon France.

As you can see in the image above, the exclusive minifigure will be Yellow Lantern Batman of the Sinestro Corps from Forever Evil #4. Even though it was short-lived, LEGO decided it was obscure enough to produce a minifigure of the Yellow Lantern Batman.

You can now pre-order the LEGO DC Super Heroes Visual Dictionary with a price of $21.99 but you do have the Amazon Pre-Order Price Guarantee so if goes cheaper between now and the release, you’ll pay the lowest price.

LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter Hogwarts Whomping Willow (75953)

The LEGO Wizarding World Harry Potter sets are available for purchase on LEGO Shop@Home but every single set, minus the BrickHeadz, are on backorder for 30 days. I do not know what happened to the Hogwarts Express (75955) as it has disappeared from the site. It may turn out that that one could be an August 1 release. Also the Collectible Minifigures (71022) are also released next month.

If you can’t wait to get the new Harry Potter sets, LEGO Brand Stores should have a few of them in stock. If you don’t really care about the double VIP points and the Beach Tote promos and just want the sets themselves, Target also has them for purchase as well.
